It is never a bad thing to bring up confirmed issues. This ain't the Dev thread, where moaning is limited to tip in and shift points.

I was definitely very nervous when I flashed the TSB tune. There have only been a few reports of struggles. In general, if your Taco battery is solid, your laptop is happy, and you're using the Tactrix, life should be smooth and fast.

Hopefully the Tundra comes back in good shape.

The dev thread is just a trainwreck lol, and at times a wee bit hostile. Ill use the new laptop, the old one couldnt handle skype for the kids the other day haha. The Tundra will be getting the air delete...its to old to be sinking new air pump parts into it.

So did we get the official MT release of VF tuner yet?

I see the cable is sold out.

Another couple questions! I appreciate all the responses and information y'all have given me.
    1) I purchased the Tactrix cable and vfTuner from OVtune. I have my Master Key and have my cable. If our ECU's are added to vfTune this weekend would I be able to purchase and download those tunes to flash to my truck pretty quick? Or do they have to get through the orders and email them out to people? I know I'm impatient but I didn't know if it would be available for immediate download

    2) Second question is, once I install a tune file to my truck, as a brand new vftune customer, how do I get the stock tune file for my specific truck? Is it already included in vftuner or will it be with the tacoma tune pack I still haven't purchased? I'm asking because I would like to flash my truck back to stock before dealer service(unless that's a waste of time).

    Thanks!!!!!!

Unless one of their techs drives the truck and says " hey what the hell this truck is awesome!" Lol

    1) We do not know yet. @OVTune posted this in the vF thread:

We will all figure it out once it drops. Note though that a bunch of 2016 and 2017 folks will be holding out for the TSB Flash to 04B14.

    2) There will most likely be a Stock tune, just as there was with the Flash Kits.

That would be 2016/2017 M/T only, update to later models would likely carry different calibration IDs such as 04A72 (2018), 04B42 (2019) etc.

As far as I know, no one has found or posted the .cuw file associated with 04b14

What’s the .cuw file? I sent the read file from FM to Mat a couple weeks back.

I have to say that I love 2.0 too, but I have noticed that my driver's side tire's outside edge is wearing-away much faster than all the others since updating to it. I've got no grooves left on the edge of the tire and it is balding quickly. So much so that I've been contemplating new tires (33,000mi on the stock Toyos) and an alignment check. . . Or maybe I should rotate the tires one more time.

Now the news of 04B14 has me thinking that I really need to upgrade to VF Tuner too so that I can flash 2.0 again after I do the Techstream update (when it becomes available), or everything OVTune until now will not be supported.

not sure what updating the ECU has to do with your tires wearing unevenly... Also your truck came with toyos?

Try a bit more air pressure? I was at 35psi and got even wear. They were toast in the wet at 25k for me though:

    IMG_20190928_104421.jpg

OVT will still support Flash Kit owners with the 04B14 update. You only need vF if you want to mess with or flash non-OVT tunes.
