Apologies if this is a repeat thread.

Looking for the dimensions of the stock wheels that come on the 2016 TRD OR.

With a 3 inch lift, are owners wrapping 285's around stock rims no problem?

You're awesome. Got aftermarket wheels and the tire shop assured me they would fit, ended up getting screwed. Rubbed on cab mount so maxed out the 6112s in front to now it only rubs in reverse at full lock.

KMC XD series 17x9 4.5 backspace and -12offset. I was very novice and asked the "pros" to hook it up with wheels that would fit and once they put em on they wouldn't take em back. Complained and made a fuss but they wouldn't budge.

Rubbed a lot, then moved both 6112's to the top 5th notch and now it doesn't rub. Looking at getting the right wheels and then selling the current ones so in the near future I can throw 285's on.

Damn you had to take the 6112s back off again or pay someone to do it all over? Kind of a PITA.

I would think the offset would have helped push the tires out further from the strut and fender? but I don't know much about wheel specs.

Local motorsports shop only charged me an hour and the alignment to adjust. Yeah I was really excited to get a brand new truck and get it set up right and i've had to deal with pain in the ass things. First the "pros" put 285's on and when I went to drive out the parking lot, i turned the steering wheel maybe 2 inches and it rubbed suuuuper hard. Should have got 8 wide instead of 9 and maybe -6 or 0 offset.

Good news is I sold my stock wheels and tires for 850 which paid for the rims which were 675. Cooper AT3's are my favorite all terrain.

    I went 17x8.5 +0 offset and they fit perfectly w/ 285s

I believe "2nd Gen specific". I got the kit from Camburg. Smitty just informed me that they just released the 3rd gen specific last month, and my kit was installed less than a year ago.

From what Headstrong says in the post is that the 2nd gen is a little longer, so on the 5th notch you achieve maybe a little bit more of a lift than the "3rd gen" specific.

You'll need wheel spacers to clear the UCA with 285/75/16 tires on the stock wheels. I put one on to test fit the other day (no lift) and it hits just about everywhere lol
