Current tunes with dump tubes there is some power loss up top, as valve timing needs completely retuned. I'll show you.

As far as results without, they have been up for a long time.

 

I was interested in seeing those curves on the same graph Mat. At some point.

 

So 1.05 with dump tube (before tuning for it) you can see the power drop off big time.

I took mine in for the 10,000 service and the recall this morning. Left it flashed on 91 base. Nothing was said except "Sorry for the recall and you're all set."

 

@OVTune So are you saying that there is nothing more we are going to gain for power with these trucks NA and factory piping or is there more hp and ya to see in the 2.0?

 

So the million dollar question that has not been answered @OVTune , do the dump tubes throw a cel?

 

They will definitely throw a code, so the more relevant question is- has @OVTune programmed the CEL out with the new tune??

 

Mat is the only one with the dump tubes so far right? They make the truck a lot louder?

Asking cause... when we modified my exhaust to match the modified versions that have been coming out we cut out the cats. Gave me a drone at 2500. Horrid for cross country drives. Added straight through resonators and it’s back to stock’ish sound.

Either way love the updates.

 

Do you have an idea of how much power is lost through the drivetrain in these trucks? Is it still the “anywhere from 10-20%” thing?

I thought the prior results on a different dyno were not comparable to this dyno run. I have no intention of removing catalytic converters. Would really like to see performance of the new tunes without fatty pipes (not demanding - just asking).

Noob question to this.... but with the tune installed what does the ECT button do? nothing anymore?
