Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Can anyone further describe what this limp mode issue on the MT trucks are? Sometimes I feel my clutch/throttle stutter when releasing into first gear right after startup (worst case scenario creates severe shaking in the car when this happens). Is that what this refers to?

 

Not sure what to tell you, their site currently says 5 to unlock. Hopefully that changes to 4 for everyone's sake.

 

He talked about it with another member in the vFtuner thread.

 

Well I guess all we can do is wait and see if he changes it to match what he said on TW.

Someone questioned this a week or two ago. Mat came back and said that it takes 4 credits to unlock, and you get 4 credits for your $75. So they do match up, and he was supposed to correct it on his website. I'll try to find his post, but that's a more difficult task these days because there's multiple threads, and people keep cross-posting between the threads.

Here is how it works.
When you start the software you get 5 credits.
1 credit is your software access credit. It will always be there.
4 credits per ECU.

 

So if I wanted to sell my OVTUNE kit. What’s everyone paying? Should I buy the vf and then try to sell it?

 

Also what happened to getting your vf for $75 dollar option on the website if you have the tuner already?

 

Have you already used you registration key?
Then at that point, you would only be selling the cable.
Since the registration key is a one time shot.

Yes my truck is tuned but it’s a lease and going back to stock to trade in. Seeing if I’m stuck with this or I can pass it along.

 

You get the discount on vf for having the tune kit and reuse the tactrix so you wouldn’t want to sell it..

 

All the confusion... I miss my dongle.

 

What's so confusing?

 

Which email do I need for surge at idle? And do we need techstream to flash the tractix cable? Will MacBook support the twin turbo kit?
