I know this won't fix the problem but for me it is a much easier workaround. I do everything on my iPad. Sure Bluetooth was easy and I personally didn't have any issues but then I had to find a place to hide it when I left the truck. I just went and got one of these new super tiny USB flash drives and put my whole iTunes collection on it and leave it in the USB communication port.

This is a common issue, my 2014 and 2016 taco do/did this as well, i found it works best if only one phone is paired like mentioned above

Had Bluetooth audio streaming issues from almost day one. Took to dealer, no update was available. They ordered a new head unit and a week later problem solved. They seemed to know this was an issue. I am using an iPhone 6 with the lastest iOS. It's been 2 months now since the replacement and no more bt audio issues.

I will be talking to my dealer very soon, thanks for the info, I'm assuming that with the new unit you had no more problems even with more than one device paired up?

I've tried the un-pairing as described in YouTube video above multiple times. Ive never had any phone except mine paired to the headset. Maybe when I take it in for the 5000 mile checkup they'll swap out the head unit... Only at 2300 miles, so it will be another couple of months

I had to do a complete restore on my iPhone. That got he phone syncing well but pandora wouldn't play no matter what. Took it to the dealership and convinced them to update head unit. Then phone wouldn't pair again. Got it to pair finally by changing the name of the head unit and the Bluetooth passcode. Only after all that would the phone connect. Now everything seems to work fine. Shouldn't be this hard to pair my phone.

    64GB holds your whole iTunes?
I wish I could run a 1TB portable hard drive in mine.
I wonder if the toyota system can read a 128GB flash drive. I had problems with my jetta not being able to read larger than 32gb.
Currently running the same 64gb in my truck but have a few of them since I have a lot of music.

My personal black out Pro shift knob TRD exhaust TRD CAI Bed Extender.
For all interested there are reflashes for head units. Had mind done. May not fix all the issues but it is free at the dealer. I have the JBL system.

Does on mine. Not sure if that is from my iTunes folder or the head unit but I think it is the head unit.

Could you post up your current software versions in your HU?

It'll be time for my 5k service soon, be handy to know how far back my head unit is at present.

Just reporting my experience here…. I tried un-pairing every other device and it now seems that the "FF then Pause then FF then pause again" and so on loop has gone away. But I ran into a new problem, every now and then, the system just doesn't play, as if they were never linked at all. I'm going to bring it up at 5K, we'll see

I had the same issue and they replaced the unit. I know I had two phones paired before hand but I feel like I only had one for a while. It worked fine after until my fiance paired her phone I think. Ill try deleting her phone, but Toyota will replace it if you can prove it skips. Mine was scratched anyways \ 0_0 /

The Entune radio will only read 9,999 files or songs.

You can get it to read twice that if you get a USB splitter:
