A little early for ‘deals’ on 2018’s, but that’s what I was looking at, and didn’t want to muddy up the 2017 thread...

So I am looking at a very plain vanilla Tacoma- SR 4x4 Access Cab 2.7 w/Auto, Utility Package. Dealer is offering $560.00 off of $27,555.00 MSRP, for a price of $26,995.00, which doesn’t seem like a whole lot off to me.

I’m trying to justify this because of the fairly decent price they’re giving me on my Jeep Wrangler on trade, which would save me a considerable amount in sales tax.

Frustrating part is I could have had a 2017 SR5 for $27,300.00 (2.7 Auto, Access Cab, 4x4) but I missed out on that. Lol.

Could larger discounts be had on SR’s?

2018 Inferno Tacoma TRD OR DCSB
A couple of weeks ago I got a 2018 TRD OR DCSB. MSRP was $38,163. They knocked off $1000 and gave me $9000 on my 2005 TRD OR with 223,000 miles on it (I realize that the "reduced" price and trade in amounts are pretty much number mumbo jumbo). Ended up $29,163 before tax and registration. I'm sure someone somewhere has gotten a better deal, but I'm pretty happy with what I got. Also, I may have gotten more for my 2005 had I sold it rather than trading it, but it was offset a bit by the fact that I ended up only paying tax on the difference.

And let it be known that I absolutely hate, hate, hate buying a new vehicle. But the place I purchased it from absolutely have both my thumbs pointing upward.
