This discussion is one of the reasons I was happy to have had such a long wait on my TRD Pro *request* (as they're not really ORDERS), I ended up with a loaded OR...and then I didn't feel even a little bit bad about just putting in the right suspension for the task at hand (and maybe a wee bit of overkill since I figured I would have some fun). Airbags are a good option, but you still have more weight sitting on the springs than designed (unless you just ride on the airbags all the time). If this was a once-a-month thing (like say pulling a trailer might be, or loading everything down for that monthly camping trip), I would say just live with it. But, given this is going to sit on the truck ALL the time...I would probably look at some custom springs for the back (they're not that much more than heavier/lift spring) to get the right lift/weight. As far as the front goes, some does depend on total weight. Given it sounds like the off-road part is a means to an end (getting out for some camping, but a capable truck to get you where you want to go), might look at doing as much aluminum as you can to save weight, and then you might not need to tinker around much with the front suspension. But, every build is different, everybody has different things they like from a visual perspective, and it's your truck (and money).

If they hadn't had mine on the lot that day I probably would've gone another direction while waiting haha. I wanted a 6mt pretty badly but clearly not enough to wait 3-4 months on the off chance they could actually get an allocation

Panic monster, Virginia marine, perkj, skeleton; thanks y’all. Specially thanks to panicmonster for the rabbit hole thread link. I’m finally pretty confident about the lift/weight and over all set up. Just waiting for everything in the mail and about 3 days off to drink and swear in my driveway and make the neighbors worried.

Alrighty y'all... Eibach and OME springs are in the garage, and the Wescott is scheduled to be delivered June 6th. With my work schedule... I might be able to have everything slapped on by the 18th. I'll try to remember to take pics during the progress.

As quickly as it has begun, I think it has ended…. My rear diff is sitting 1.5 inches away from my bottomed out floor Jack… after the 2 inches of OME lift… how am I gonna get the som’bich back upwards? Safe to put the jack stands on some 2x10 inch boards? I got a bunch of scrap lumber ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes it's safe to put jack stands on wood boards. On asphalt driveways, the jackstands would dig into the pavement without boards. Alternatively buy some 6-ton jack stands from your local store - they don't need to be extended as far as 3-ton stands so they're far more stable.

Replace the leaf pack one side at a time. That way you can put the hydraulic jack under the axle tube near the side you're working on. Loosen but don't remove the U-bolt nuts on the opposite side to give wiggle room.

Probably too late now, but put the wheels back on before you start messing with repositioning jack stands.

The bolt attaching the leaf shackle to the frame is very tight. It wouldn't budge with my 3/8" drive impact (250 ft-lbs). I had to use a 24" breaker bar there.
