In need of advice. I bought a 2022 SR double cab a few weeks ago. The window seal came damaged to the dealership. They fixed it a few days later when the seal came in. I noticed originally that there was a wind noise coming from the door seal right next to the A pillar at 60 mph and up. I was hoping replacing the window seal would somehow fix this noise, however it didn’t. I have now had the dealer look it over again and drive it. They said they pulled everything apart and didn’t see any issues and hear anything unusual while driving it. I know it definitely there(noise is pretty hard to miss and have had others drive it as well) and when I push on the seal it goes away.
At this point I’m just about to give up on this…it is very annoying however since I drive highways mainly and the fact of how much I spent on the truck. Has anyone had this issue? I’m thinking about adding my own weatherstripping like others have done or maybe adding tubing behind the seal. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks.

Try bringing it to a different dealer.

i have a whistling sound that starts at 60 mph coming from the passenger side when the window is cracked or all the way down. driver's side-no whistle. kind of annoying but haven't really looked into it since it's a minor issue.

is the seal seated all the way down? sometimes the corners can come a bit loose. i'd try pushing them down to make sure they are in place.

They are going to let me ride with a tech so I can show them exactly where it is coming from. Hopefully that will help. If they replace the seal and it still does it then I will probably just add weatherstripping like others have done. If they replace the seals at least I can rule out a bad seal and maybe just chalk it up to crappy design. I’d feel better about that at least.

if you do the weatherstripping you should do a write-up. maybe that will fix my whistle

Yeah the seal looks in good condition other than a few indented lines in it, maybe where it contacts the edge of the door. Looks seated as well.

Here is a pic of the seal. The passenger side also has these lines, just not as pronounced.

Take a dollar or other thin piece of paper and place it on the seal and close the door with the window open so you can grab both sides. Pull the paper back and forth to check the resistance. It can help tell how well the seal is mating up to the door. A dollar is good because it is thin and can pinpoint smaller areas. If the paper slides in and out easy, there’s a larger gap. It should be tight with resistance

Did this but seemed pretty good all the way around. I’m thinking the seal is somehow getting blow open by wind blowing over it which is allowing for a very small gap of some sort.
