I can't decide where to set everything, I think I want to do my hibachi's with 5100s set at 0, with the 1/4" top plate spacer on the driver side, and then my rear set up with a 1.5" AAL, no TSB, and a 3/8" spacer on the drivers side to get rid of rear Taco lean. I have a DCSB 4x4, and hoping that this set up would sit level or close to level.

    Thoughts?

I want to run 275/70 R16s soon, and I hear that this will clear, and will ensure that I have no issues at all with alignment, and I don't have to look at a ton of my undercarriage/sidebed in the back...

^ That sounds like a good setup. I debated the same thing. You should get about 2" of lift in the front and it should sit fairly level, and you won't need to worry about alignment with the stock UCA's.

A couple have done it. I do not remember the results but it is definitely not advised. Too much pre-load, stiff ride and shock is not designed for it.

If you want 3" you need to be at .85 and use top plate spacers or a different method/brand.

Wow these lift photos look awesome!!! I might have to rethink keeping my stock coils when I buy the 5100s.

I could not get my alignment perfect, so I got the LR UCA's in the mail.

Here is my alignment w/o it.

just for fun, here's my plan...

Bilstein 5100 a front shocks set at .85 with eibach coils and a top plate spacer.
Rear will get bilstein 5100's and wheelers 3 leaf progressive AAL for hopefully a smoother ride than a regular AAL's that I used in the past.

    Then some scs wheels eventually

i got the toytec ultimate lift kit with new uca and dakar leaf packs. i didnt get the rear reses because i couldnt see spending $200 just for looks. i also didnt get any top plate spacers and after reading the post, im woundering if i shouild get them? i will be running 17" xd revolvers with 255/75/17 nitto trial grapplers. so all i need to know is should i put in a rush order for the top plate spacers before i install everything next week?

It depends how picky you are about the typical drivers side lean the truck has.

I have the 1/4" spacer on mine and it still has a lean that is visible when the gas tank is full. Without the spacer it would be even worse. It does not change how it handles that you can tell just how it looks.

5 leaf springs(stock+toytec aal) w/eibachs on mine. They look just about alike, and damn good, i might add.

thanks a lot. so could you just do a 1/2" spacer or is that to much? i guess i can just wait and see what it looks like. i would like to see a truck with the same set up im doing to see how much lift they are getting with the full leaf packs compared to the front and if it is level.

these guys have the Dakar leaf pack. If you want to get an idea of the lift it provides, look here. It does not get any more definitive then this on the site. As for the spacer for the Taco lean. Definitely get it. It balances the truck well

that would be personal preference. If you figure you need a bit extra lift up front you could put the 1/2 inch lift on the driver side and 1/4 inch on the passenger. Just be sure to put an extra 1/4 inch drivers side. It definitely makes a difference.

and the only thing i was thinking about is the lift you get from the dakars and id rather not have any rake. so i can do 1/4" on the passenger side and do 1/2" on driver side, along with a 1/4" plate also?

you ordered the ultimate lift kit? Doesn't that kit adjust with a spanner wrench? I am not sure you actually need to worry about top plate spacers outside of the lean-balancing one. You should be able to adjust your coilovers to the desired lift using the spanner. Your bets bet is to call the place you bought them from to get info. They should know the product better than anybody

yea and i was thinking the same thing about the adjustment. i go the kit from toytec and asked about the spacers and he really didnt recomend them so i didnt get any.
