    Thanks,
Guess I should have said streaming radio. I like to listen to the radio while traveling. I have T-Mobile with unlimited data but still want to use a seperate sim card.

Question for stereo guys: If I get this HU and am looking to upgrade the speakers, is there anything specific to look for? I am seeing a good amount of component speakers from most major brands for like $150 for a set, but I really don't know what the limitations of this HU are.

Assuming I buy a set of Alpine or Pioneer speakers, they should just be plug and play with the right harness, correct? I am also thinking of adding a small powered sub. I'm assuming there are spare RCA jacks for that, specifically?

I'd like to follow on to this question too! I actually upgraded my speakers to kicker speakers all around with the Subaru tweeters and was pleasantly surprised at the power of the stock OEM entune hd unit. Don't even need an amp. (No JBL) Will I be losing overhead power by transferring to the Joying?

I replaced all of my speakers, but I also have the JBL amp. I use the Rockford Fosgate Punch 8" Sub. Infinitey Reference front component system, but only used the lower 6x9, kept stock 2.5" tweeter (for now) and Infinity Reference coax in the rear. Sound is WAY better than JBL speakers, even while still on the JBL amp.

Free just pay shipping. Guessing around $30. Think it's "blown". It still hits by has a slight rattle. Probably cause I had it hooked up to a JL audio 900/5 HD amp, in my E46 M3, then ran it in the truck for a while in the stock jbl sub enclosure. I upgraded to the RF punch and no more rattle.

The pioneer wasn't a huge difference, but the Punch and Infinity was well worth it. can definitely tell a difference with those.

Cool. I’m thinking about adding a kicker CompRT in there with a few hundred watts on it

I haven't experienced this, but I just had them send me a new update since my headunit started resetting periodically, wiping all my settings. In addition to the resets, it would freeze on the Google screen for 5-20mins at times, buttons mislinked to the wrong app, etc. Everything seemed cool after the update, but this morning it reset then started this funky screen jump sequence. I could toggle between MODES using my steering wheel control (although it was go to the GOOGLE screen for a few moments between each), but no way to get back to HOME.

The only thing I've downloaded it the AGAMA launcher from the Play Store. Wonder if they'll use that to deny warranty.

I added a strip of matte black vinyl tape to the top of the bezel along with an anti-glare/screen proctector to my new Joying HU today. First assessment is they seem to help without looking too shabby.

A449868A-2037-4127-A2F1-961A475B1664.jpg Installed the new 9” single button because I don’t have steering wheel buttons. So far it works good, no problems yet. Wireless CarPlay works good, it takes a minuet for wired to work because I think it tries to connect wireless a few times then switches finally. It was easy to install, just plugged in the wires that fit and left the other ones alone. Hardest part was just routing the external mic around the pillar and through the dash. For the USB I just removed the existing cig lighter and left the USB poking out. At first the usb wouldn’t work untill I switched USB ports then it worked. Feel free to ask questions. I’ll post more when I have more experience with the unit

Just cosmetic: Window Tint, radio knobs, temp control knobs, Tech-Deck, Tonneau bed cover, tail gate lock, de-chromed all badges inside and out, installed back up camera and custom bedside decals.

Looks great...i know it's been asked before, but i'll ask again...backup camera?...will your OEM backup camera work with this?

Nice! I did the same thing with my mic, but several in the forum have removed the external mic and rely on the HU mic and say it's better quality. I plan on removing the external mic the next time I take the HU out to install the factory GPS adapter.

I do not have a factory camera so I do not know for sure. On the Joying website under my HU it says it cannot support the OEM camera.

Question: I have the 8" Joying HU with knobs that goes through the bootup everytime I turn the key or start my truck. Is this the norm? TIA!

I have mine where on start up it goes straight to the load screen for Carlink. On the settings there’s an option for start up. Can’t remember if the setting is in the carlink app it’s self or the main HU settings

Search this thread for the passcodes. It's a hidden setting for quick boot
