While you have the door panels off and have access, are you planning to put any sound deadening in the doors?

    It makes a difference!

Yes definitely, I wasn't going to spend money on buying factory vapor barriers. I bought Noico deadening product.

If you're considering audio upgrades in the future now would be the time to run wiring.

Btw awesome work here. Very impressed.

Do heated mirrors as well, I loved it on my last truck and will do it again this summer on the current one.

For now, I am just going to get sport mirrors from 2012-15 with the blinkers. I will get them to work and cross that bridge later. I do want heated mirrors though, I love them on my gx470.

The gx is pre wired for lights on the running boards, I was going to use that to put an led strip under my oem running boards. Thats way down the road though.

My goal is to atleast have it running by august. That will be the 1 year mark from when I started tearing down the Lexus. It is coming right along!

There’s a thread about doing the retrofit mod using different switches timer relays, and mirrors.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/oem-heated-mirrors-diy-mod.193528/
Thread title says oem but there are a few other versions listed. I like having the increased visibility afforded by these mirrors.

I got to work on figuring out gx power steering return line. This is what I came up with. I just welded the brackets that hold the bushings. I can still unbolt the line if I need to so this works.

A little motivational 2.5 gen headlight picture to help further the vision boys. I am very happy with how things are coming along. I had to get the headlight out to check clearance of the power steering reservoir, SAIS pump and window washer fluid reservoir. See picture below to reference how it's layed out in the GX
