it's a TTORA members truck, his user name is beachboy, i think. the truck is 4WD

IIRC he's running the Icon stage 4 kit w/ camburg arms instead of the Icon UCA, but wasn't fully installed at the time of the pics (rear end not done)

no link, just a couple more pics, had them saved cause i liked his truck

I just read through your build again yesterday the 35s did some pretty bad carnage on your fenders. Are you able to stuff the mud grapplers completely?

Edit: In the 33s not 35s

I really like the RCD Lift besides the block in the rear. But that can be changed.
But Im just not a fan of DB lifts. Maybe If the Price is right for the lift and Install, I will go the RCD route. But If not, the 3" will have to do. :)

I installed a 4.5" RCD kit for one of the members recently and my official recommendation on this kit is to pass until they improve the quality. The crinkle finish was nice, but caused problems. The other DB lift companies use a 1/8 piece of square stock for the guides on the lower cam bolts for the LCAs. The RCD kits they uses a piece of sheet metal welded to the bracket then coated with the crinkle finish. We had to grind down the finish to get the cam bolts to sit flush between the guides and against the bracket. we also had to mess around a lot with the cam washers they provided to center the rear bracket to the frame. We were unable to accomplish a symmetrical placement of the washers to center the bracket to the stock location. this may be a non issue because the differences in centering of the rear bracket can be compensated for with the cam bolts on the lower control arms, but this still bothered me. The owner of the kit and I have been in close contact with RCD to make them aware of these issues with the kit. They may or may not have corrected them. people who have had these kits installed by a shop may not have realized that these issues exist or variances in the kit may have cause them to not have these issues. either way i do not recommend this kit. I have inspected the procomp kit and with exception of the use of a large spacer on top of the stock coil over this kit seemed to be built better. I cannot say for sure because i have not installed this one.

IMHO, unless you are dead set on 6" then go with the OME kit and a set of TC UCA's.

YeahI think I will stick with a 3"
Im ganna go mid travel, with ext. length Icons and Camburg or TC UCA's...

this was my truck... I completely agree as long as the RCD kit remains unchanged.

If RCD gets its shit together...4.5" is the best height, atleast on an access cab

So out of all these lifts heights (3", 4.5", and 6") - which is best for offroad?

I'm not talking about anything extreme, but I would like to be able to hit the trails with a group and/or some rocks without fear of not being able to make it.

What about higher center of gravity with a 6" - nothing to worry about? It would seem that if a 3" is just a well for offroad as a 6", the 3" with a lower cog would have a stability advantage? Or am I overthinking it?

Thats kinda true, but I also think thats over thinking it a little. :)
Im not a fan of DB lifts, the cutting of the frame and such. But they do look good. Im just ganna stick with the 3" lift for now. Who knows, maybe when I get my new truck I may change my mind. hehe..
