Just a little update: Going to get the bed rack painted with bed liner, just makes sense because it gets beat up a bit from stuff getting tossed in the bed of the truck. Also getting the skid plate on soon since it's all painted. And planning on driving the Denali Highway soon, might be willing to go with someone else so long as they have their own tent, and don't mind stopping every so often for photo ops lol. Factor 55 Flat Link comes in Tuesday, and then I'll install that along with my Factor 55 Hawse Fairlead.

Also here's some gear that I'm looking to buy soon:

    Krazy Beaver Shovel
    Maxtrax
    ARB Speedy Seal Kit
    Rotopax
Hi Lift Jack (yes believe it or not I don't have one yet)

If I may, a couple of questions.
From your build list it appears you're not running much armor. Do you have a transmission plate? If not, why not?
What's your opinion about how well a stock suspended taco would travel to north of the Arctic Circle from the rest of the states?

I'm running armor where it most counts in my opinion, there's not many trails here in AK where you're gonna be scraping the belly of your truck too much from my experience. I have an IFS Skid, Front and rear bumpers, and sliders. Plenty of armor for my needs. And you can definitely do it with stock suspension, I would just buy really tough tires like the Cooper ST Maxx

I'll keep that in mind, running ltx a/t2 at the moment. In prelim planning for an arctic circle run through the Brooks next summer.

Not exactly sure because I topped off at every gas station along the way but I never dropped below 1/4 a tank. From Fairbanks to Coldfoot I was at about 1/4 a tank, and that's after topping off in Fairbanks. Then I topped off at Coldfoot. Then from Coldfoot to Galbraith Lake I was at about 3/4 tank. I didn't go all the way to Prudhoe but could have easily made it there with 3/4 of a tank.

This is where we camped on the Dalton Highway at Galbraith lake and we learned just how fast the weather changes north of Atigun Pass. The winds were at least 40-50mph and some fresh snow fell on the mountain peaks.

@jpalmer14 don't think I'll actually be able to wheel this week but we definitely need to get a meet in the works

OK just wondering cause I'm actually driving up there next week for my honeymoon, doing a bunch of camping along the way bringing so far 30 extra gallons of gas for the Dalton highway

No problem man! My week actually ended up getting kinda busy, but maybe we could shoot for something soon! It would be cool to hit a trail, but if all else fails even a meet somewhere in town to let everyone meet each other and stuff would be cool.

No I never used the extra fuel, didn't need to. When I said "you'll love it" I was referencing the trip to the Arctic circle

Got my Factor 55 Fairlead on and Factor 55 Flatlink all hooked up. Also got the IFS Skid on. Truck is naked right now as the rack and CVT are off and at Green Tree Fabrication getting brackets welded on to mount rotopax and a few gussets put on so I can hook up a net along the sides of the rack to keep my dogs from putting their nails all over my paint when out wheeling. After the rack is done I'm taking it to get painted in bed liner. Will post pictures tomorrow.
