    You're welcome!

Clucking after a stop is interesting. Folks that had the 2nd to 1st downshift clunk will have to chime in here.

The Taco Lean. There are left and right front springs to account for this. Aftermarket springs will sometimes come with a 0.25in spacer for the left side.

Now whatever you do, don't go looking at your bed alignment, evenness at between the bed and cab, or the rear bumper gaps.

Also, don't think about the pink elephant.

Sorry I should be more specific. All my clunks come 1 second after a dead stop. I read that transmission mapping could be a fault due to pressures from 3rd to 1st once stopped. So I wanted to rule that out by getting up to speed, throwing it in neutral, stopping and seeing if I get that clunk. Low and behold I can.

I have no clunking while the vehicle is in motion.

I'll make sure to keep my welding goggles on if I begin to look too close... Lol

As for the pink elephant, I have no clue what that means, but I won't ask anyways.

Just the compulsion to think of things once they are mentioned, like not being able to get a song out of your head.

In the end, did you notice the lean before you measured or did you measure out of curiosity?

I haven't noticed any lean. Lol
So it never came to mind for me to measure.

Does this happen at all gas levels for you guys?

The few and far between times I've had it happen is when I recently filled up and the gas is close to full but not all the way. I always figured it was an air pocket and gas issue in the tank. Even then, it doesn't happen all the time. I have never had it happen when not nearly full--I'm talking like 7/8 tank.

Maybe it is weight related due to the gas, but it rarely ever happens. It could also be a totally different thump than some of you guys...

I can hear fuel sloshing in quiet places, like my garage. I've never heard it make a clunk sound in the time that I have had the Taco, even with the windows down.

For what it is worth, in my case I've know it for sure does it from F - 1/2 tank. I'll report as it gets lower.

I wish I could say the OVTune fixed the clunk for me, but it most definitely didn’t. I have the clunk when coming to a complete stop as many described in this thread. More recently, I have noticed a bit harsher shifts than before and some delayed shifting as well. I don’t blame those issues on the tune, but I have no idea where they came from. I had the dealership do a transmission drain and fill and the issues are exactly the same. Sometimes they get a bit better when the truck has warmed up, but still harsher than they were before I started noticing it. 31,000 miles on my ‘18 OR. Anybody else have similar issues with their transmission as well as the clunk?

Mine clunks intermittently but only when the vehicle is cold. Once it warms up, I don't experience it anymore.

It clunks as it's coming to a stop, not afterwards.

I've had Chryslers with their kamikaze 4 speed transmissions that would self destruct after the warranty period...they clunked after stopping.

I think it is the brakes. The clunk can be recreated in neutral in my case. I noticed that if I stop on a hill, the tacoma holds the brakes to stop me from rolling backwards making the exact same clunk noise. So I believe it is the brake system thinking the car is rolling back a bit when we stop.

Applying the brakes in reverse and applying the throttle in forward is the exact same thing if you're a leaf spring.

A one piece driveshaft and a traction bar from the rear axle to a shackle up near the transfer case will probably fix it.

I'm gonna dive into a solution here because mine is getting annoying.
