My ABS delete has been done for awhile and I'm LOVING it. Can't believe it took me so long. I did manage to wire in an OTTRAW illuminated switch without using a relay. Mounted it overhead. I'll snag a picture sometime soon.

The building of the overhead. ABS wire cut is just a few posts down from that.

Sounds like you answered my question and I could see the relay help the inversion of the normally open and normally closed....

    Without the relay my operates:
with headlights OFF, ABS button IN = ABS is ON and on the switch the light for Car with skid marks is ON, light for ABS is OFF.
With headlights OFF, ABS button OUT = ABS is OFF (ABS on dash lit) and on the switch the light for Car with skid marks is OFF, light for ABS is OFF.

with the headlights ON, ABS button IN = ABS is ON and on the switch the light for Car with skid marks is ON, light for ABS of ON.
with the headlights ON, ABS button OUT = ABS is OFF (ABS on dash lit) and on the switch the light for Car with skid marks is OFF, light for ABS of ON.

I need to do this. Was wheeling today and trying to climb a couple super steep and slick hills. I would make it as far as I could, hit the brakes, ABS would kick in and I’d slide backwards 15’. Not very fun.

Yup, that's all I wanted the relay for. Inverting the normally open/closed. Just a little OCD thing... But if I were to do it over again I may not bother. The dash Christmas tree lights make it pretty darn obvious when ABS is off.

I wonder if AOB will ever make a switch that just says "ABS"? That would make for the simplest possible install while also completely satisfying my OCD. Hopefully before I'm due to replace this Tacoma.... In 2032

So will the YWM allow the truck to brake the spinning wheel, basically a "poor man's locker"? I'm considering it, just hesitant to unplug anything before I know what I'm doing.

Confirming you do not have an Off-Road and no locker/ATRAC. There are 3 methods I've seen to get this done.

I do not think so I have looked and no switch for Locker I have no other buttons that I know of. I was waiting for some pictures I didn't see any so I didn't have a locker I'm pretty sure that mine is not an off Road

Post pictures of your truck and hopefully someone can tell you what model you have. Buttons on the dash and engine bay could give us an idea of the model. Take a look at the other threads too, they might be able to help you.

*Exercise caution when modifying your trucks electrical system and make sure you know what you are doing beforehand.

Here are the other ways (depending on what model you have) to do the ABS delete:

Thanks when I looked I found the light green wire just like the post blinking and cut it and put the switch in but my ABS light is not shutting off when I switch it on and off. Now my switch is the same type has that safety toggle switch so I couldn't do it accidentally but mine only has two terminals because it is not lighted so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not? Also I see your first posted link if something a little different.

I do not believe my truck has differential lock or a track because there's no buttons or anything like that it's an 05 automatic V6

Are you saying that your ABS light is not shutting off (remaining on) or ABS is not shutting off (no ABS light on the dash)?

My ABS light is not coming on IE being inactive. The wires that I cut even after I cut them the light doesn't come on so apparently I have cut the wrong wire or something SMH

Sounds like you need the ground method. Others have reported the same problem. Read through that thread to verify. Hope that helps.

Ok thank you for the reply, I tried the thread I used but nobody has spoken up yet. What is the grounded method?

The method explained in the first thread I posted. People call it the 'caveman' method.

I'm still trying to figure this out, is it right for me to hook up 1 wire to one lead and one more to the other on the back of my toggle it only has two terminals so I was guessing one on each? Here is a picture of the back of the box it is one of those flip up racing style ones and only has two connectors on the back.
