This has probably been asked in other threads maybe even in this one and I missed it but I'm still wondering.... what's the advantage of running 5100's @ 0 but with a coil instead of just 5100's @ 1.75 or something??

I left stock coil and put my 5100's at 2nd or 3rd notch... can't remember its been 3 months lol

Anyways.... I think it's time for me to do something to my rear since I left that stock and only lifted the front.
Doing either 5100's or 5160's ... any suggestions? and probably an AAL
    Thoughts and/or experiences?!

How do you like the 265's? Do you wish you had gotten 285's? The 265's look great too.

Disadvantage is you are getting your lift from a compressed stock spring...so you are going to have a harsher ride and less travel than stock. If you set the 5100s at 0 and use a longer coil to get the lift you will have a more compliant ride than stock with longer travel than stock and the increased height you're after.

Just a shade under 2 inches front and rear, maintains the factory rake and rides just like OEM OR suspension.

    Very pleased.

Do you have any vibration at all in the front/rear? Did you install a differential drop or or ECGS bushings in the front?

So you didn't get UCA's? How is the alignment? Any bump steer? I have a 3" toytec spacer with 285's and I wonder if i swap to 885's with stock UCA's my tires will clear and bump steer will diminish without having to fork out $500 for UCA's right now.

    Thanks

No bump steer and no issues with alignment, front has settled to 1 and 7/8ths. Not sure if 285 will clear depending on what your wheel offset is. That's why I stayed with 265, plenty of clearance.

I don’t think it hurts to leave it in, technically it helps the lift

    My Truck:
After 3 years of thinking about it, reading posts, and looking at pictures; I finally got around to installing my lift. I wanted something that would look and perform better than stock with minimal chance of buyer's remorse or hacking. The 885/ Bilstein combo fit the bill. I think this may be the perfect middle-age, don't want your wife to notice, daily driver/ weekend adventure setup.

After 53K miles on the factory tires and 6 plugs, I finally killed them and installed my lift last night. I bought an extra set of take-offs and sold 3 which covered the cost of a matching spare and I plan to do a 5 tire rotation. The Offroad wheels are lightweight, easy to clean, perfect offset, and they don't show brake dust too bad. I'm very happy with how everything turned out. Truck drives better than new and I have no rubbing, no noises, and no regrets. Hopefully, this gives some people ideas/ points of reference when trying to navigate through all of the options.

    Weight Considerations:

2 tires, a wheel, and 2 cases of wine in the bed. I also have a steel skid plate, Steel Rock Steps, and Snugtop Rebel. Your measurements will vary, but this should give a point of reference if you're considering going this route.

Edit: First 2 pics after lift had quite a bit of weight in the bed. Added the 2 Offroad shots and edited rear measurements above to reflect ride height with empty bed. It came up about an inch.

    Pre Lift
    :
FRONT (Hub to Fender) : 19.5 ish
REAR (Hub to Fender) : 20.5 ish

    After Lift:
    FRONT Driver: 22"
    FRONT Passenger: 22"
    REAR Driver: 23.5”
    REAR PASSENGER: 23.5"

    Details:
    upload_2018-12-19_22-22-8.jpg
I mistakenly thought the Bilstein prices were per pair and purchased them and the add a leaf through SDTrucksprings. I had to buy twice, and could've definitely saved a few bucks there.
