5th gear vibration

hello everybody, i tried to search for this problem i couldn't find anything.

i have an 09 2.7 4x4 ac manual transmission, in 5th gear the shifter vibrates quite a bit regardless of speed. no other vibrations in the truck, its just the shifter. all the other gears have almost no vibration. it has done this since i got it. is this normal? anyone have similar vibrations? my truck is stock - no lift ect.

The only thing that comes to mind is the shifter bushing, but that shouldn't really be a problem on an 09. If the shifter has a lot of play in it when it is in gear, then it could be the bushing. It's a pretty cheap part to replace.

the shifter moves alot...it's normal. the shifter itself is very long so it amplifies the effect, so it is much more noticeable than say, a car.

does it shake in every gear? mine does to a certain extent, but 5th is the most noticeable.

yeah mine shakes in every gear a little, but 5th is definitely more noticeable. its done it since it was new so i don't think its a problem, just wanted to make sure..
