Borla Catback Exhaust, Snorkel, 33s on either 16's or 18's, ARB Bumper, All Pro LT w/Walker Evan Shocks front and back, All Pro expedition leaf pack, 10,000lb Superwinch, Intake Manifold Spacer, Bed Rack with ARB RTT, Rotopack and Hi Lift mounted, Husky Liner mats and an air freshener from 1995.

OME lift with 285x75R16 then. (33" tire) You might have to cut some of the inside fender to clear them so you don't rub when you turn but no one will ever notice it unless you specifically point it out to them.

33"s with 3" lift is good shit. I'm just getting 35" envy which is why I suggested it. :p

Oh I did not see that there. Cool. Well Which ever way you decide to go OP, make sure your commited. Dont go buy a simple OME lift then decide you want MT a few months later, big waste of money. Ive been lurking on here for months, wanted a Pro comp lift first, then the ToyTec Ultimate lift, then Long travel and now I FINALLY made my decision. Good luck buddy.

    Wheels

Before I continue on with other components, could i get some help fine tuning above?

With the wheels, i have no idea what im doing selecting the wheels there are so many types (For example: 6x135/5.5 OS:18mm BS:5.71") I have no idea what this means and what of the above i need for my truck...and on a lesser note, what color...black or chrome on a green taco with painted grille and bumpers..

Get what you like for the wheels. Just remember, more wheel, means less tire. Harsher ride and more expensive tires.

6x135/5.5 is the bolt pattern. That's correct for our truck. More specifically you just want the 6x5.5. There's a ton of back spacing on that tire and it's going to rub more than a horny dog on his masters leg.

Additionally going with a 3" lift you're going to want to probably get new Upper Control Arms to bring the alignment into order so your truck doesn't wander all over the road.

Should I go with a 17"? I liked those rims, and my truck came with 18s stock, Again I like practical, but a little flare makes me happy too (hell my truck has a non-functional hood scoop lol...)

LOL, any thing better you would suggest?

No idea what these are yet...Or what/where to buy

That is a solid setup. I love mine. You will need the upper control arms for alignment though. I'm running mine on stock trd off road wheels and I'm only rubbing on the control arms at full lock and full droop. I'm waiting on the second set of spacers to get here before I put them on.

Wheels are personal. What you like you should get. I can only attest that I dislike the bro look regardless of my love of monster energy drinks. That's why I went with Konigs. Simple, no bling, matches my truck but makes it unique and stand out just a little bit.

Can't do 15"s. Calipers will rub. 16"s are the smallest you can do.

Again this is a personal opinion. Myself? I love 16"s cause I like more tire than wheel on trucks and the tires are cheaper the smaller the rim you throw it on. I'm not looking to sling corners, I have no antisway bar and roughly 230lbs of armour and winch up front. Fast and the Furious I am not. Ponderous and disgruntled I am.

Ideal lift: Bigger tires with no suspension changes (not really possible on most vehicles, including 2gen tacomas).

Failing that: 3 to 4" suspension lift with high quality components. Icon, King, Fox, Old Man Emu. This will result in increased maintenance needs for the truck.

Curious, how will a 3" lift result in increased maintenance needs?

New upper control arms. Increased wear on CVs and CV boots.

But don't worry, it's not like you'll be replacing them yearly or anything.

You're going to wear out bearings faster. You're going to wear out u-joints faster. Those are the two primary culprits.

If you stay with the stock UCAs, the ball joint in them will be at risk. CV boots wear more quickly if left unmodified.

If you run larger tires, brake pads, rotors, and fluid will all see increased wear rates.

Again, if staying with stock UCAs, ideal alignment will be difficult. Tire wear may suffer as a result.

    Etc.
