I agree you should save it, But if you made up your mind you want to spend it and more into the look of your truck how about a hood with a scoop those look cool. or GAS MONEY.

if you have 900 to burn..then burn it...cause it will drive you insane trying to figure out what mods/accessories to go with....well i'm almost gone insane... i'm torn between a good lift kit...or ncie rim/wheel package...or a light bar/bruch gard with new hid lamps....or a new intake with a new exaust.. and yeah i'm soon going to end up in a nut house lol

OK... I'm a big fan of saving money, too... but the guy came on and said he has $900 to spend on his truck and asked for suggestions on what to buy. We're not going to change his mind, so shouldn't we just stick to giving him ideas about the truck? Just my two cents.

I say if you want tires, get tires. You could probably sell your current tires to somebody on here who is nearing the end of their tires' lives and would like an inexpensive replacement. Maybe you get $200 out of the set, maybe you don't, but they don't have to be a complete waste.

Everybody just chill out for a second..I didn't mean to start a thread that would involve such hostility! Haha! But seriously, everybody just hold one one minute. I guess I should have said this in the beginning, but this money was given to me as a birthday present from my family to spend it or save it however I see fit.

I have a good-paying, steady, secure job and right now I'm sitting very well in the financial department. I don't need to worry about the bills because I've got those taken care of. That's always the first priority on my list. So, this money is specifically for my truck as that is what I choose to spend it on. I appreciate all the opinions and if I needed to save the money believe me I would...but it's available to spend and therefore, I'm going to spend it.

As I said earlier, I'm not really that interested in making my truck super fast. It's a 4-cyl. and honestly, I would rather have people say, "That truck looks clean" rather than "That thing is fast." I've always had cars and now I have a truck and it's a completely different world of modding that I'm beginning to discover.

So with that being said...anymore input on what to do ? So far I'm thinking, exhaust (Jardine) and headers (DT's maybe?), the ReadyLift SST kit they just made for the 5-lug Taco, and maybe an OEM skidplate or aftermarket bullbar, and a shorty antenna.

My current mods: BHLM, Elbow Mod, AFE Pro Dry S drop-in, Helo Tease wheels, sound system, and 5% tint.

im thinking exhaust and headers..probably need the extra power for the tires if you ever decide to lift it. plus it will sound good/better.

might be stupid...but does the new exhaust and headers get rid of that engine tick noise... i know its not the same parts but might it change the vibrations or something? if not what does lol

Everybody has a good-paying, steady, secure job until they don't, just like my sister who was laid off last Thursday.

Here's a better idea: Check out this thread: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/4838-cheap-free-mods.html

TOTALLY off topic but here's a sister update: She just told me a half hour ago that she's pregnant. WOW. Sort of a mix of shock and delight but wow, I'm going to be an uncle and a father in the same 1 year period. Crazy, life is.
