A few questions on changing trans, diff, and xfer case oil, for those that have done it before...
    Mine is a 1995 4wd xtra cab.

    1) FSM does not give a torque spec for the fill and drain plugs. Is there one? (I think there is one for later years, right?)
    2) FSM makes no mention of gaskets or crush washers for any of the fill or drain plugs. Are there any?
    3) for lubing the cardan joints and other chassis items - is this amsoil grease ok?

    thanks gentlemen!
    Rich

    1) just snug them up
    2) there are gaskets on all the plugs
    3) as long as it is NGLI #2 Bearing and Chasy grease it is good to go, i always use Lucas Oil Red and Tacky #2 grease on every part of my truck that needs grease

My factory service manual doesn't have part numbers for the gaskets, or show them in the diagrams...

I'll probably just pull them off, if they're there, and take them to the parts store to find close replacements.

Rockauto would be a good place to look to, if they dont sell anything then i doubt you need any there but im 99.9% sure you have either a crush washer or gasket on them

The torque specs are 36 ft lbs. They all do have washers or crush gaskets. Let me know exactly what you are looking for and I can give you a quote.

@gunny1005 hooked me up. Awesome price communication and service for a couple of very low priced parts. Saved me a trip to a dealership, which is not a short trip for me.

Thanks Gary. you will definitely be getting more of my business.
