Holy crap the previous owner beat the bed to shit, and either took the bed cubbies out (where the giant square holes are) or they eventually fell out and were tossed away...who knows.

As I posted on PAGE 1, I haven't see anyone successfully purchase a replacement set of factory bed rails, and the people that have talked about it elsewhere on this forum have dissapeared or never posted if they were successful or not. You will either need to go to the junkyard or see if a dealer can hook you up. Those rails are not listed for sale on any dealer sites and don't show up in any parts catalogue either as far as I know.

You could do as I advised before and install some aftermarket rails of choice, such as L track/Airline track, or Utili-trac or Unistrut (what Nissan uses in the Frontier bed). Not sure on how easy it is to get up in the bedsides to install that stuff. Rivnuts could work for you, not sure on cost of doing that. Or you could install track in the bottom of the bed as opposed to the rails.

Just a few suggestions...hopefully others will chime in.

And again, previous owner/whoever, beat the shit out of that bed. Big ass holes and crap everywhere.

EDIT: you can add floor D-rings for the time being as you source a used set of rails or a new bed lol. Read through this thread. People towards the last pages started to use Dodge Van D-rings as they were cheaper or something and don't require drilling out the D-ring hole to fit/something along those lines....so there is potentially 6 new tie down points added right there based on 6 bed bolts.

Thank you! The interior, however, is immaculate and it had pretty low miles for an '08. Would you recommend me taking it to a professional accessories shop?

holy shit That is the worst bed I have seen. Better off trying to order a whole new bed with all those holes in it.

Not sure how much of a DIYer you are, but you could just remove the bedsides and add rails on either side of the bed yourself....or replace the bed entirely because of all the holes/looks like swiss cheese. Probably a bit harder to do portion of the bed near the cab without removing the bed entirely....doesn't seem "too" hard, just time consuming. Link below showing bedsides removed and how someone did it.

it looks like your bed rail(s) are missing, your cubby's are missing and holes have somehow been punched into the side of your truck bed

Damn thats some intense damage to the bed...never seen that before. I'd try to go to a junkyard to see if you can get lucky and find some bed rails, they're difficult to come across for some reason.

I think that giant square hole is where a storage cubby should be if I'm not mistaken...I'd try to find that in the junkyard too.

I agree with the above. Go junking and get your bed some factory rails and cubbies.

Depending on the height of your load, a full-bed cargo net might be an option.

I'm absolutely willing to invest money into fixing it. I don't what is a good brand or style or where I need to take it. I'm interested in a bed extender but how do they work?

I actually went to my local west marine.. since this is a composite bed.. I used G-flex puddy ( its to fix holes in kayaks and small side wall repair in boats. they make a fiberglass type but its a huge mess and more than what I was willing to do for my holes.. anyway.. the puddy is a 2 piece composite break small amounts off and mix it with your fingers then place a spoon or something on the back of the hole ( figuring out that is the hardest) then fill the hole.. once dried and hardened its sandable as well as drillable but in her case just sand it down smooth.. then by some black trim paint and done.. finished 6 holes in my bed in 2 days ( mostly waiting for it to cure.. )

I'm assuming you mean the little bed cubbies/boxes. Well that is definitely an easy fix with some good 3M mounting tape. And with what was posted above you have patching the holes covered. So tie down rails is all you have to worry about.

If you have any good junk yards around, you may get lucky and find the rails. I haven't scanned through the FS section, but you might be able to find some there. As for the bed, best bet would probably be finding a truck that got totaled due to front end damage if you can find one before the bed gets snagged. You can install D rings to the bed bolts for smaller loads, but it won't do much good with a load of hay.

Why would anyone buy a truck with that much damage to the bed?

Good luck finding a good junkyard replacement, these trucks are not like the thousands of S-10's sitting in junkyards everywhere.

I'm guessing this truck has more problems than what is obvious.

She said she has the bed cubbies, they fell out into the bed when she was driving the truck from the lot or whatever.

Do some of you guys even read any fucking new post in this thread. What about this says troll?

On a side note does anyone know if you can buy new bed rails? Every thread (like 2 or 3 exist lol) where they mention finding replacement rails...people say that dealers don't sell them by themselves or they never leave a response on if they sourced any or not. It's my impression that it comes as a whole bed assembly only ($1000+ brand new from dealer). Leaving junkyard as only reasonable option.
