Thanks to Crom for the great write-up. Just installed it today, super easy even for someone like me with no real experience with electrical stuff. Here's where I put my switch:

Did the instal a few weeks ago but actually got to test today. I live in south Texas so the abs in the snow is not my issue. Soft sand at my house and the beach are my nemesis. The traction control works well in the sand but when you go to romp on it, it just kills the power and doesn't go very fast. I want to throw a roost and do doughnuts every once and awhile. So I was on the lot next to me in beach soft sand putting in 2wd bogging down, I stepped on it and it didn't really do much, just chugged along, I pressed the button and turn the traction stuff off, stepped on it again and the engine reved right up and the tires took off spinning dirt. It was awesome. Of course it buried right up so kicked it into 4wd to get some momentum back, kicked back into 2wd and continued on kickin dirt. Thanks for this thread it turned the fun factor up in taco.

How so? The mod works. Again I know the main benefit is turning off the abs for better stopping in the snow but it also turns off the traction control.

Because DBNYSTYLZ. Interesting use of the same functionality. Traction control does suck in most low traction situations. My parents old Cavalier had a shitty time accelerating in the snow, always cut power as soon as the tires slipped.

Pretty sure your head is so far up your ass your are not aware we are talking about driving off-road(not in mall parking lot). The traction control button doesn't help a bit in the snow/sand/mud/off-roading.......

Ah, I was just relating to his issue with traction control (on acceleration rather than braking).
