Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew what set of options in an access cab meant that you had the 2 seperate seats with the center storage versus having the bench?

Is it just a straight option, or is it dependant on something else? Im pretty sure if you have the JBL youll always have storage, but other than that i dont know what determines it.

No problem if your transporting Ompa Loompas. The back of the access cabs are a bit to busy with the console, seats and the so called sub. MY S10-ZR2 had one fold up seat so a passenger would sit across the cab the longways and have some legroom. That gave some open space for my junk.

Oh, so the new ones only have the 2 seats with the center storage thing and the older 2nd gens have the bench. That sort of sucks. I like the bench option alot more. Thanks.

I would have liked the "bench" in earlier 2nd generation .... my '10 has the two seats .... as no one sits in the back I did this:

Kinda...the 05-08s actually have seperate seats and seperate storage doors under them but the storage area goes all the way accross in one big space, not 2 seperate storage spaces. I don't have enough people riding back there to care about the seating change, headrests or center console thing back there. I prefer the older arrangement where the area makes a nice flat surface when folded down without having to make one of those platform things. Now, you can buy the parts off someone to do the swap if you can find a part out thing going on or find someone with old setup willing to trade for new setup. Saw a thread in here about it. Bad thing is that the carpet is cut different on each one back there and either it makes for holes showing or a harder swap to also swap carpet. Lemme see if I can find that thread...........

here it is, lots of pics................

Bringing this topic back up. I'd like to convert my 05 to the 09-11 style, if anyone has the 2 separate jump seats they would like to get rid of, let me know. Thanks

South Carolina. Can you just switch out the seat bottom or do you have to change out everything?
