Has anyone who added rear seats remember if the belt tensioners are the pretensioner type that have a pigtail that sets of the small explosive charge when the SRS system activates?

I have the panels you need from a 2023 model. I just pulled them out to add rear seats.

If you remove the seat bottoms and head rests you will have 90% of the room of the utility package without doing nearly as much work and it is free.

I agree after seeing what is involved. But, it’s pretty easy to swap in the Access Cab utility rear panel and the storage bin covers are just a bit more useful. I only swapped in seats because my wife really wanted them.

Any chance you still have the seats and are looking to sell? I have a 20 access and am looking to add rear seats. Let me know if so! Thanks.

Yeah mine has those 'Get In The Way' thingy jump-seats (If that's what they can really be called)....
I tried to get the Utility model, but would have had to wait 6-8 months... But the dealer had the one with the 'seats'.... In a few weeks... So, there ya go.
These.... (Ahem) ... Seats are only good for a 4 year-old kid... Or maybe a dog you can pick up with one hand.
I tried once to take them out, but after figuring I had to take out 8,000 bolts, I gave up and just decided to live with them.

I agree, it seems really aren’t very useful for most people, but it does seem that some people do want them, probably for kids.

There is a way to remove them that’s pretty simple, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/removing-rear-seats-and-back-panel-from-2016-access-cab.411587/

I am in SoCal and have the seats, headrests, center console, and bottom cubby with lids. No back panel. I forgot to take a pic of the cubby. PM if interested.

If you want to sell the cubby lids separate, I’d be very interested. I also have the utility back panel available. It’s posted in the for sale section if you want to see it. I was just informed the back panel is $500 from the dealer.

Hi everyone. I just got a new access cab after my last one was totaled. I had built a storage unit for behind the seats and had removed the rear seats and replaced the back panel with a molle panel but I didn’t have time to remove it when it was totaled. Now I finally got a new truck but I need to get rid of the back seats.

So if anyone wants to trade the utility panel and storage bins for the seats, bins, panel and seat belts I’d be willing to do an even trade.

I’m in the Denver area and would prefer to do a local trade as it is a lot to ship. I am willing to travel within reason

    Thanks
    Jason

Anyone know the legality of adding rear seats and belts yourself? Would there be any way for insurance to tell seats weren't professionally installed in the event of an accident (unrelated to seats)? I'm assuming there aren't any airbags in the back that the utility package removes, but I could be wrong. Would appreciate any insight.
