Not really build related but my sisters got me this sign for my birthday

 

Got some more crap done.

I wired in a CB setup. Uniden Pro 510XL, door jamb mount inside the tailgate, and a Wilson 4' antenna. Works perfect, didn't even have to touch the tunable tip on the antenna: 1.1:1 on Channels 1 and 40, 1.0:1 on Channel 19. I have a heavy duty antenna spring on the way so I will have to check it again but it should be fine.





I finally fixed the leaky valve cover with a new gasket set, and adjusted the valves while it was apart.

Here is where it was leaking, around the halfmoon.


I also checked the timing chain guides and everything looks good

That is tempting , i love your pickup.

 

I tried to find a good picture of the 12" front shocks at max flex. They were leaving about 3" of exposed shaft with flat leaves. The 14" show about 1" of shaft where I need to bumpstop it with flat leaves. Much better.

 

I might try to take a leaf out and see if that helps flex a lil. Might just be me but I feel like it should have a lil more up and down travel, might just be the pic.

 

It is not fully flexed. The cardboard dumpster is in the way.

I avoid builds like yours as long as possible. I'm trying to convince myself to keep mine IFS and a DD for as long as possible . . .
