Damn! I just got a shipping confirmation from rockauto.com, I ordered that chit 1 1/2 hours ago Rock Auto FTW.

 

That's pretty shitty of them.

 

Yup. They kept pushing my install date back, and then I felt like they rushed through my truck so they could get back to working on Heeps. Oh well. I'm glad I am taking the time to clean and inspect everything and put it in correctly.

 

Got the steering pins swapped out yesterday

 

The upper and lower pins have grease fittings.

 

Oh, sorry I didn't realize what you meant. All of my pins have needle zerks.

 

I got the frame painted, now I just need to top coat it. I will probably use Rustoleum satin black.

Then I spent 2 hours scrubbing the knuckles with Purple Power and wire brushes, hosed them off, and wiped 'em down. I'm going to paint them red and install the ARP steering arm studs

Swapped in the TB eliminator steering pin bushings into the ball thingies, and put in the new inner seals


Put in the ARP hub studs


Painted the knuckles and put in the ARP studs


And painted the dual case crossmember

 

Yea it sucks, good luck getting yours on the ground.

Atleast I can take my time and have everything ready.

My dual cases were supposed to ship last week , hopefully it will happen this week.

 

I got the new spindle nut sets from rockauto today. Awesome place to deal with. I mainly needed the index washers to the right in the pic.


I'm cleaning up the hub dials now, going to put some fresh paint on 'em.

 

So baller. I stopped shaking long enough to hand paint the letters
2 different hub dials, I think one is from an IFS hub

 

Oh snap, those are gonna really pop with that red.

 

I can't wait to get this thing back on the ground . I'm gonna put the hubs back together tomorrow. Thursday is supposed to be nice out so I will start getting the axle back together.

 

Needs more red

 

LOL. I think I'll paint the diff guard red, and maybe add a red toyota stencil to the truss

 

I think there's enough red already. Don't want to overkill on the red.

I was working on it in a t-shirt yesterday

 

So bored

It is nasty outside so I worked on my lights. I had a set of Hella 500 driving beams on the front. I swapped those with my 500 fogs, and converted the driving beams to HID. Now I need to find where to mount them and run the wire. I might mount them to the cowl in front of the windshield.

 

And dressed up my crossmember.


If my cases don't ship this week I am going to be fuming.
