Just take the Dave'z stickers off the thing. They don't deserve the credit for those cases... I certainly wouldn't promote the company. The cases yes, oh yes indeed, the company who built them. NO, no, no

I have been nominated for 4runner of the month on t4r.com. That means a lot to me. I have been busting my ass at work and trying to stay motivated to work on this thing with no garage.

My friend just showed up. Bout to start putting the duals in :dancingbacon:

There are 2 broken off bolts in my t-case not allowing it to seperate from the tranny. After waiting so long for these cases, and having such a shitty day, it's just natural that this would happen to me. FML and this damn truck. I am so pissed off.

Damn man hate to hear that. But look at it this way, all this extra waiting is going to make it that much better the first time you crawl.

I drilled one out but I can't get to the other

I don't think it is going to be better. At this point I just want to be done with it.

Might as well try a stud extractor then. Otherwise you might have to drop the tranny and cases together as a unit to get at that other pissant...

No I mean there is no way to get a drill straight at it. Its on the side of the case inside the webbing. I'll try again tomorrow but damn I am so frustrated. I want to stab the PO.

You'll get it, I've felt the same way about my shiz many of times, in the end it will pay off.

BUT, we can still shank the PO if needed. I just got a new blade I need to try out.

Can you post a pic of the stud you can't get at?

One trick I've heard of before in a situation like this was driving a self-tapper into the broken bolt body, removing it, then filling the cavity with JB weld, then putting the tapper back in and letting it cure. Ratcheting wrench was then used to remove the stud.

Again, a pic would help with brainstorming.

I assume its one of the top 2. One of mine was too tight on the pass side. I cut an access port for temporary use and seam sealed it up when I was done.

Don't let it get you down. Keep at it and get it installed correctly.

    Congrats!!! On the nomination.

Sorry the POS isn't just coming out. Stick with it, it will eventually be removed and then you can move forward.

No its a middle bolt. A bottom bolt was broken and I drilled it out, but the webbing on the tranny is making it difficult to attack the middle bolt. The top 2 came out no problem. I have been working my ass off and haven't taken a sick day yet this year, so I have decided I will stay home tomorrow and am determined to get this finished before the rain comes.
