Oh, no hate. I love this truck. I just can't fathom a 40A alternator, but they did shit different back in the day. Infotainment systems were less power hungry.

 

I have more goodies on the way now

It seems I am just cursed with transfer cases. My Marlin heavy duty shifter springs were picked up by Fedex 4 days ago, but there is no further tracking info.

 

I ordered a set of Roundeyes H4 headlights to replace my sealed beams. I took some lighting shots to compare when I get those installed.

Same here. Cage is done. Picking the truck up tomorrow. My truck has been down for a year.

 

And I was bitching about 4 months I am still waiting to drive mine on the street. Hopefully my shifter springs will show up this week.

 

I spent the past couple days scrubbing the Softopper, getting out all that URE dust and Gulches mud. I used Bestop cleaners and conditioner.





My new alternator and 2 wire GM harness showed up today. Hopefully the bracket will come soon.



My HD shifter springs will show up tomorrow or Thursday. I can't wait to drive this thing around again. I like the rear Spartan locker a whole lot more than the spool.

 

Did you have to remove anything from the axle where the truss is? I've got a link that goes from the axle to right below the engine compartment. I'll take a picture when I get out of class.

 

That is the "torque rod", it prevents axle wrap. It gets cut off for the axle truss.

 

It's not there for axle wrap per say. Its there to prevent the truck from steering itself while under acceleration or braking with the stock push pull steering.

 

Did you notice a huge difference when you cut it out?

 

This is true. I just said axle wrap to keep it short.

 

Well, I completely changed the steering setup and installed much softer springs. So I guess yes, I noticed a huge difference.

 

I'll probably just wait on that until I start ordering some hi-steer parts.

 

You could just pull it off when you get to the trails. I think Jerretxx drove around without it in the beast but I'm not positive.
