I got the water pump off and inspected around the cylinder head for oil leaks, removed the valve cover and checked the torque on the head bolts. It looks like oil is only leaking out of the water pump bolts :annoyed:. Well thats good I reckon, I'll just put a new gasket on the w/p and put sealant around the bolts and see what happens.

I also cut off the old "bumper" and front fender bars and threw on the Addicted front bumper. I'm picking up my winch tomorrow. I'll have this bitch back on the road later this week.

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
    Bumper looks good!

I actually got the rest of the frame ground smooth on mine and one leaf hung. The Florida heat stopped me from going any further.

Thanks! I was sweating the whole time I worked on it. I finally gave up around 2:30 and retreated to the A/C. It won't be so bad after work this week.

Nah, it gets a lot of use so I am going to keep it. For now anyway.

I figured I might as well put something cool on this pretty new bumper.

Does the XRC8 have the same bolt pattern that the bumper has? I'm interested to see the fitment.

I have that same winch, no complaints. The only thing you should look into is sealing the solenoid box and changing out the thick ass grease they use. I switched mine out for Mobil One synthetic and it makes pulling line way easier.

There's a write up on this site somewhere.

Yup, 10"x4.5". The grill will have to be chopped with the solenoid mounted to the top of the winch. The solenoid can be relocated with some extended wiring but I don't think I'll bother with that.

Thanks a lot for the tips! I already planned on sealing the solenoid box as I have read a few discussions about it, but thats the first I have heard about changing the grease.

Any of the cheaper winches usually need to be pulled apart, cleaned and greased with a quality grease. Looks like a nice collection of recovery gear though.

Cool, I guess I'll go ahead and do that.

Oh, and I might be picking up some 37's soon.
