I recommend you guys revise the swingout to incorporate a double sheer design.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
Salt and I are thinking along the same lines. I echo 90%+ of what he has suggested.
    And I'll add my own:

    1) Offer the gates in aluminum.
    2) Make the gates a modular design so that different needs can be met without having to come up with a new design each time, and so the end-user can change the configuration as needed for the trip. WITHOUT welding.
......For example: I plan on keeping my stock spare location, and using the gates primarily for fuel cans (4~6), water cans (2), recovery gear, and tools. However, I foresee a near-future need for a second spare, and it would be mounted on a gate, displacing what would be my usual configuration.
    3) Please oh PLEASE offer a bedside-cut high clearance version!! The biggest turnoff of your rear bumpers, for me, is the wrap-around design/bolt-on side panels. I can almost guarantee I would be the guy to bend one into my bedside and end up being unable to bend it out...or the dent it creates in my bedside.
    4) Make sure the recovery points and frame mount are one and the same: Go for a through-panel design, made of at least 1/2" plate, where bumper skin is notched and welded around the frame mount that protrudes through and finishes as a recovery point.
    5) Try to include provisions for mudflaps. (Am I the only one here who likes them?)
    6) I can't tell by your pics, but does the current design have the gates engaging each other at the top? I would think doing so would add an enormous amount of strength.
    7) I'm hoping you're building the hitch behind a flip-up license plate? And the 7-pin?

Design features I like from other bumpers:
--Pretty much the entire gate from Dave's custom DeMello bumper: HERE
--Style of the side panels of Eric's bumper (matching the flares): HERE
--Pretty much everything about Tyler's design, except that he's not offering, nor has plans to offer, nor is accepting custom orders for dual gates. The low pivot point (below the lights), the tapering of the corners, the through-panel frame mounts/recovery points, the flat-then-down overall curvature, the extra-heavy-duty pivot, just about everything: HERE

I am extremely interested in the progress of this bumper, as I am currently in the market RIGHT NOW to get one going ASAP. I'm hoping to have something on in time for a shakedown before Rock Therapy.

Talked to All-Pro today. They said the rear bumper is being re-engineered and may take a while for the final product. I asked them to give everyone here at TW an update. They said they will give an update. Great customer service from All-Pro.

We are working on the 2nd prototype bumper. We have made some changes to the original design to make the swing out more user friendly and give some more options for mounting fuel cans, ice chests, tires, etc. Will post some pics next week as we progress.

Is it wrong that I occasionally daydream about someone sliding into my rear bumper and banging it up a bit so I can "justify" a new one with my wife? :) I can see the logic with my wife unfolding perfectly.

Although last time that happened some poor soul just stuffed her hood under the back of my truck. Didn't even take the powder coat off my receiver but tore a huge hole in her hood.

Anyway....here's to dreaming of fun adventures in our trucks! Come on summer!!

This is my new favorite bumper, ive been looking into the idea of buying an allpro rear with all the bells and whistles and fabbing up a swingout. now i dont have to fab at all! i dont know if it was mentioned but it looked like the swingout pivot point is going to cover the lower half of the tail lights?

one option id like is cutouts for single row LED lights.
