If for 2nd gen I would need a truck for muckup, I have a 1st gen 2wd, maybe I can find a local who can lend me his/her truck for a day or two..

AS far as greasable I would make them from Oilite, an oil impregnated Brass casting, no lubrication necessary for the life of the material.

I just swapped out my rack bushings to Energy Suspension and my steering feels much better... Kartek has them fully stocked for the first gen... I didn't think to ask about the second gens...

The oilite material sounds really interesting though...

Total Chaos makes them too for $25 but they are urethane like the Energy suspension ones. What exactly is oilite? Harder than the urethane? I would be insterested if price is right. I changed mine to urethane about 2 months ago and its a big improvement but I wouldnt mind going stiffer if my rack wont suffer from it

Also FYI for anyone doing this. The only instructions I could find for replacement said you had to heat and cut out the old bushings. My bushings were so worn out they pretty much fell out. I think the heating would only be needed if your bushings are still fairly new

Well I didnt say in the post title but I was planning on making them for 1st gen 2wd models, those I cant seem to find, everything I find is for 4x4 and prerunners.

I should have been more specific, gonna change the title now...

Ahhh that makes sense. All of the ones we are referring to are for 6 lug. Your making them for 5 lugs then, thanks for clarification
