Welcome to Tacoma world. I'm going to give you a heads up that you will be flamed for not using the search bar and prepare for sarcastic reply since you asked for a back rack when it's generally called a bed rack. Im sorry I don't have any genuine answers for you.

Fairly certain Thule and Yakima both make adjustable height, sliding bed bars for ladder or lumber carrying. If you're looking for a commercial setup like a traditional lumber rack then I am not sure if those are on the market, I imagine so as a lot of Tacoma's are fleet trucks - but any decent truck repair shop should be able to fab one for you.

I need a ladder for work, so I ended up doing it this way. Made the rear posts and and attached them to a Truck Covers USA bed cover with track rails.

I realize this is super old, but could you go into more detail on your setup? I want to do a hard toneau with a rack like yours but the market does t really have good options that aren’t $2k+
