Anyone got this done? Specifically in Hawaii. Curious if it improved anything.

I was wondering in the dealerships in Hawaii gave any pushback when asked to do this TSB.

I printed out the TSB and it specifically says for Stumbling at wide open throttle “in high altitude”. I know we live on an island so I wanted to know if anyone on Oahu did it yet.

Then find TSB 58-18. Same thing. You end up with the same ECU calibration.

This one you can just tell them its not finding gears at about 40-50mph right? From what I read, both TSB 62-18 and 58-18 flash the ECU the same way?

Both updates result in the same engine calibration. That said, the "stumble" occurs in low elevations too. I don't know why they worded it that way. In any case, it doesn't matter. Pick the update that will get the job done.

It's amazing the difference it makes. I'm having some clunky shifts in lower gears post-update, but to be honest, that may have been there before. Overall, the shifting is much smoother all the way up and down the throttle.

Oh, you're in for a real treat. I gather you haven't been hanging around the 3rd gen forum much yet. Welcome aboard, comrade.

bought my '18 a month ago. Honestly it's not as bad as the forums make it out to be. Lots of over-exaggerated stuff and some issues (normal shit for a new truck really). I say go for it.

I greatly regret trading my 2014 in July for a 2018. I have the diff howl and Toyota says it's Normal. It sounds like a kazoo under the truck at 55-60mph.
