I recently got a new Fob here from a dealer and paid about 90 for it. There of course was an hour worth of labor charged for programming it so it cost more than that all together. I would say walk in with $200 just to be safe.

Wife lost nissan keyfob, it cost 350.00 to replace/reprogram. It will probably be about the same.

Disclaimer: I have no experience with this generation of toyota..

But, my 2007 scion tc's key and fob in one (Not push button start) randomly unpaired from my car once. Wouldnt unlock doors, wouldnt allow car to start. Dealership wanted 130$ for labor to reprogram the key.

Got online and found the sequence to re-
pair the key to the car. It was an insane pattern of switching ignition on, opening doors, buckling seatbelt in the correct pattern and timing. But it worked..it was programmed in about two minutes of reading instructions.

I know ebay used to have after market blanks with the chip in it ready for programming. This would allow you to get it cut and program it yourself and only be out of pocket about 40$..

    Might be an option.

If it's push button start this probably won't work but Idk..

Let my buddy borrow my truck and of course he drove over my keys. The actual circuit board is intact and looks fine, but the plastic case is gone.
Before I try the cheap route and just buy a new case do anyone see a reason that throwing this circuit board in a new case wouldn't work?

    You could try?

Do you still have the rubber buttons from the case? If yes, try grabbing one of @AJT DESIGN 's cases.. *If* it still works.. it'll fit into one of those and work just like new. I got one to replace my case.. though to be fair, I didn't break it or have it fall apart.. I just wanted the extra protection. His run roughly $35. Might seem steep, but totally worth it, in my opinion. Adds extra protection for peace of mind. No idea if they'd survive being run over.. but definitely being dropped numerous times.

A locksmith here in ABQ does them for under 200, and also cuts laser keys.

unless you get a manual like me, then you SOL... don't understand why Toyota couldn't have included keyless start with a manual, my 2012 VW had that and it was half the price lol.

Those AJTs are cool but unfortunately the rubber buttons are gone. I'll try to test it in my spare remote if I can do that without breaking the spare. Otherwise it sounds like finding a lock smith is the way to go.
    Thanks guys

Could try going this route possibly. Not sure if the internals will fit, but the new key fob comes with buttons.

The reason for the Key in the Manual is so you can use the Clutch Cancel Switch.
