I’ve searched and haven’t come up with much.. is there a particular section where I can info on them as far as mounting locations and accessories and possible install?

Long bed can mount in a sweet spot on the passenger's side between the bed and fender behind the cab. Saw it this past weekend it was awesome. Another spot in the drivers side panel in the bed of the truck made by expedition essentials is sweet too. Add a lock box over and you're good to go. Some mount under the hood on the passenger's side. Another mount is behind the rear seats in the cab.

If you’re not getting an air locker I’d just get a portable 12v compressor. It’s a lot easier with nothing to install and you can move it truck to truck.

If it’s 12v portable just connect it to the battery when needed.

Is the air tank aluminum? Judging by the large weld beads in some of the photos it is. All I can say is, aluminum air tanks are a fail. It's not a question of if they will leak, but when. It has too low of a fatigue limit. I've welded too many aluminum air brake tanks for semi truck drivers. No mater what setting, how much cleaning, how many beads, or how many passes, they always come back in a year or less. But if you're not cycling them every single day they'll probably last a while.

Yeah, not portable. If you have an Off Road model truck your best bet is to mount it in the engine bay. There’s a couple spots and you can get a mount. Plus it’ll save you on running less wiring.

I did say I had that too.. I didn’t look to closely and it looked a part that came with the kit I have, that looks like a much cheaper option

Not trying to derail this thread, but I'm always interested in onboard air compressors. How many CFM does it produce? If you do mount it in the engine bay, one of the biggest ways I was able to free up enormous amounts of room in mine was making my own intake and ditching the giant airbox and the air pump (might not be feasible if you live in a state with strict emission checks). Hasn't effected the way my truck runs other than a CEL (don't feel like spending 100s for circuitry to trick it).

Then you’re almost all set. Here’s a wiring diagram. You should use a high heat hose and check valve coming out of the compressor, 105psi pressure switch if you plan to run air locker(s) and goes on the air tank. Not sure on the rated relay and circuit breaker for the ARB twin.

I know this thread has been sitting for a while, but I am pumped to get my onboard air installed! At the Baja 500 last month, it took over 30 minutes to air up with my portable unit. Never again!
I got the bracket from MORE and it fits the tank and passenger side space very well. The compressor and hoses are due later this week! Stoked!!

I'm looking forward to seeing your complete install. I sold my fifth wheel hauler and my F350 that was set up to take the buggies to the dunes. Downsized to a Tacoma and a small trailer and need a better solution than a generator and a pancake compressor. I'd spend the money to have a dedicated setup in the Tacoma.

Welcome to Taco Land! Tacoma's are great reliable vehicle's, but they do have their space limitations. I was pretty excited to see this dead space in the engine compartment that would fit a compressor and tank! The ARB Twin has great reviews & I have seen Vids of people re seating beads with this set up. To be continued...
