Would that make tranny fluid change easier and more accurate?

Yes, you have to set fluid level at certain temp, but im more interested in monitoring for signs of trouble. Getting close to 150,000 miles, better safe than sorry :)

Thanks! Do you run yours always hooked up? Is that the best one? Anyone have any other suggestions? But for the price seems too hard to pass up!

You have to keep it plugged in for it to work. I keep mine plugged in all the time. I am very happy with it. There are multiple options you can monitor. The trans temp has to be downloaded but is very easy. Everything is easy to work and change. I think the only other option would be ultraguage, which I hear is good also.

I have been running a ScanGuage 2 for 4 years.
You can program 2 transmission temps - the pan and the torque converter (or close enough). This is great for towing.
It also adds 2 trip meters and many different gauges as well as code reading and clearing.
