Doing some axle wrap testing today. If you are out of gear, in Neutral and stop should you still feal the clunk? Did a few tests today from 10 to 30 mph. In neutral the clunk is gone. Is that how Axle wrap behaves?

    Thanks

My truck does the lurching stop no matter what. Tried all gears, fast, slow, uphill, downhill, sideways. Hoping to change that soon, shopping for new suspension parts right now.

Hey, man. I just PM'd you a heads up, but obviously you're still figuring this out. Yeah, I've been looking into the leveling thing too. Everything I've found indicates Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts up front. My shocks are crap (105k miles), so they need to be replaced anyway.

The Bilsteins have three settings: no lift, +1, and +2.5. Each increase makes the ride a bit stiffer, because they are pre-loading the coil springs. Overall, folks say the ride is vastly improved over stock. I suggest doing some searches on this site and also others. There are tons of posts. I am going to get them all around. Wheeler's Offroad sells them, and so does Down South Motor Sports.

I just installed this helper spring yesterday. Took about 15 min to install. So far it has completely eliminated my axel wrap! Best $25 I've ever spent. Thanks for the link Steve O!
