I'm installing my backup camera and want to run it to a switch so I can turn it on anytime not just when it’s in reverse. My question is which wire should I hook the switch to get power or should I just hook it directly to the battery with a fuse?

The negative wire. Or the wire that is coming off of the fuse box, if there is one. You would need one to come off the fuse box or an ignition source if said switch was illuminated.

    Make sense?

    Hope that helps!
