You are all a bad influence on me. After seeing your trucks, I want to mod mine. I hate you! ;)

Now, what are some fairly inexpensive mods that I can make to my truck to give it a mean look and improve performance. Has anyone used Spectre's intake kit? It's a lot less expensive than K&N. Currently, I am using a K&N high-flow filter.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Deck-plate mod for the 1st gen is the best and cheapest.

Haha I know what you mean, my truck was just fine until I found this site. Now all I want to do is make changes to it. You should check out the cheap mods section. You also have a first gen so instead of a new intake, you could check out the deck plate mod.

If I have to spend money out of my pocket, it's expensive. Therefore, I need everyone to donate to my cause. :D

I have not attempted to come up with a budget. I guess the first step for me would be to come up with specifics on the mods that I want done.

Can you make some suggestions on possible modifications/upgrades?

I guess I know one that that I will be doing this weekend. Time to make some phone calls to see if any of the local boat supply shops have the deck-plate in stock.

I have done the deck plate mod. Now I need to determine if my leaf springs are still good or if they need to be replaced. If they are shot or on their way out, I will replace the leaf springs and most likely go with Bilstein 5100s all around.
