Someone tried to steal your fuel, bet the inside bracket is bent.

Look inside and make sure the plastic fuel cap strap isn't pinched/turned around. I noticed the strap on mine was getting pinched in the door hinge and caused the bottom to push out.

that doesn't make any sense. It's not like they would have to pry the door open. But I do agree that the inside bracket appears to be bent since the panel isn't.

Makes sense to me, if they were trying to steal your fuel, you think they cared about the door, might have done it on purpose. Have you pissed anyone off lately?

I can't imagine it was fuel being stolen. I keep a pretty good track of usage so something would seem off. The door doesn't lock either, so it wouldn't be a struggle to open it.

The plastic strap wasn't pinched when I just checked, but it could have happened before. Seems to stick out a lot for just that though.

Is there a fuel nozzle somewhere on the ground around where you park? :anonymous:

My fuel door does not sit totally flush either. Mine isn't that bad.. but it's enough to bother me. I havent looked to see if there's any way to adjust it.

Mine (2nd gen) sits flush but scrapes the interior when opened. I assumed I threw some mud or wood against it from under the vehicle while wheeling.

I'd take it to the dealer and have them fix it. That would tick me off.

If you just bought that truck, I'd be letting the dealer see it as soon as possible. The longer you wait the more likely it will be your fault.

Need more pics, whats the inside look like? If you are 100% sure you didnt do it then there only 2 suspect left. Theft or defect from dealer.

Truck is only a couple months old. I will be contacting the dealer.

I would say that I'm 99.9% sure it wasn't me.

Tried to gently bend it back a little bit. Sticks out about 1/16" still

I would take it to the dealer, but dont let them even think it was you for a second or they will refuse to fix it and blame you for it
