Read through and through. Dudes lying. The only responsible thing for him to do now is admit he made the mistake, regardless of what the damage is. I'm sure his father works hard for the money that bought this truck.

Apparently not the only thing he has broken on his trucks.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/267560-7-pin-connector-broken-what-do.html

Makes me wonder how dear old dad sees mud on his truck if he doesn't live at home. :stirthepot:

    Epic fail on the OP...

Followed all the extra links to his previous postings. this kid (OP) is like out of control...he is defiling a brand new truck over and over again, a free one at that, and it sounds like he does not have any J O B (read income) coming in...it appears to me that daddy in 100% footing the bill and the OP has no way to pay for it nor any basic wrenching skills...he probably has a gas CC from dad too..

    Life is rough....

I do not believe his story that he does not have a smart phone, $35,000 truck and no stinkin' basically free phone with contract, give me a break....

As it stands now, I am totally surprised his dad hasn't seen any of this damage, at this rate he will ruin the truck in a couple of more months...

    Bleh....:ohsnap:

You will be confined to one of these pretty soon...LOL

If you didn't act like a freaking moron maybe your dad wouldn't be so hard on you. Its not that hard to figure out why he is based on all your post. You lie to him constantly, redline a brandnew truck, you take it off road constantly even after being told not to while at the same time obviously not having a clue what you are doing or probably even how to drive at all for that matter. Not sure what happened to the 2010 truck you had, probably wrecked it on a back road and said you were avoiding a turtle in the road....Its about time you put your big boy pants on and grow up a little bit.

Your truck's axle is not bent but if you want there are a few axles for sale in the BST threads, you could scoop one up and have a spare. These trucks are pretty robust, it's highly unlikely your axle is bent, there have been numerous pics about members totaling their trucks (rear end collisions above 50 mph too) and the pics show a straight axle.

Don't listen to the haters, if you dad likes to buy you shit, that's great, but when you offroad you should expect something to break and if you lie to the person that is paying for the repairs, he will find out eventually. They (body shop, dealer.. etc..) will probably tell your dad what you had to do to make it break.

It doesn't have anything to do with "hating" anyone. We are trying to steer the lad in the right direction. I really don't think anyone in here hates him. Just telling him the error of his ways.

He has a really sweet deal, he is screwing it up as he has no "skin in the game". My parents didn't "give" me shit. I bought my own or walked / bummed a ride etc. I learned the hard way to appreciate what I paid for out of my pocket.

Your comment above indicates your age and maturity level.

You got my age and maturity level from something I said on the internets..

    My favorite one:

Shows the age and maturity level of a retired Navy vet

    And Misinformation!

Alignment. Boom. It finds all your angles for you and from there it's super easy to tell what is bent/shifted.

But that's obviously a gay idea

Worthwhile upgrade on your replacement axle housing:
    IMG_2077_189b2994f46fd27d39116089711a8cd52ccfb9b0.jpg

I'm quite certain you bent the housing based on the pics in the first post.

Awww...that's a cute lil truss. :cookiemonster:
But at least you had the foresight to do it before you bent the housing.

I see that the fill plug is on top of that Tundra diff. How do you decide how much fluid to put it? do you actually measure it out or do you just top it off?

I have two measuring methods. I start with roughly 3.5 quarts per the tundra owners manual. I also have an old screwdriver I taped off the exact distance from the new fill plug to the bottom old fill plug. I slip that in and if there's oil on the tip, then it's full. Filling it all the way to the top will blow the seals.
