So Currently running P265 75 16 Falken Wildpeak AT3W's and they have been a great tire. Got 10,000 miles on them now and they are at 10/32nd's tread. So I'm thinking these will be worn out soon than I was expecting, so was thinking about ordering up a set of LT265 75 16 Cooper ST Maxx's come the end of February or beginning or march when Discount Tire direct is having their $100 off $400 or more cause I can get a set of LT265 75 16 ST Maxx tire for $668 shipped my door and save $200 on the set of 4!

By the way my truck is a 2016 SR 5 Speed 4 Cylinder and the Falken's weigh in at 44lb a tire and the ST Maxx says its 53lb a tire so not too much of a difference!

    Picture of my Truck!

Of all the tires I've used - Yokohama Geolandar ATS have been the best all around. Not sure if they still make them. The Duratracs I have now are excellent as well. No complaints. On-road highway travel, offroad in mud, sand, and rocks, and in snow and ice.

Haven't had a chance to leave the pavement or get in snow yet but I can say the KO2s are a lot quieter than I thought they would be and DAMN they do look sexy as hell

image.jpg image.jpg I put a set of 265/75/16 duratracs on my Tacoma earlier this week. So far so good. I had a set a few years ago on an XJ and really loved them on road, off roading, and great in snow. Also wore extremely well.

Haven't read through all the posts but I had pretty good results with the ko2's. Almost 50K on them now and the snow traction has definitely gone downhill. Overall I think they were a good tire and they were fantastic in deep snow when they were under 30K miles. I've pretty much heard from everyone who has had duratracs that they are worthless below 50% tread. I think I'm gonna grab the coopers this go around so I can compare.

I am looking for an All Terrain Tire. I have seen everyone recommend the KO2 BF Goodrich, but wanted to ask the hive what they thought before I pulled the trigger.

I've had both KO and KO2's. They both performed well for me. Through snow, dirt, rocks, (but no mud). I am a fan of them, but prices have gotten pretty high and I don't like that only LR E available for my size.

I honestly think any decent A/T tire will do just fine for 99% of us. I've seen stock Jeeps on the crappy stock highway tires roam around just fine. Unless you're doing some crazy trails, any of these: KO2, AT2, AT3, DT, etc will do ok. I mean, those X-Overland folks are traveling the continent on what I originally thought were crappy General tires.

Had ko2 and HATED them. Wouldn’t balance, and just vibrated non stop. Cooper at3’s were amazing. Just not “aggressive” enough for me when I went wheeling. Currently running the St Maxx Wheels and there unreal.

I have general grabber hts's on my jeep grand cherokee and they have served me very well. I don't do any serious off roading, but driven through 1+ feet of snow no problem and performed well on the beach. These tires are a highway all season tire too...they are supposed to be coming out with a new all terrain to replace the grabber at2 which i believe will be called grabber atx.

While i am sure the bfgs are good tires, I'm sure there are better ones that you can get for less money. From what I've read they don't perform as well in the snow as other all terrains.

I do agree with you that pretty much any all terrain tire would perform well though like the ones you mentioned...tires have come a long way.

I have ko2s. They are quiet and they work well offroad. Probably why “everyone and there mom” has them. LoL

The only tire I'd hesitate to run, that many seem to like, is the ST Maxx. Too heavy, takes a toll on fuel. I like lighter A/T tires for power and the range it gives me, especially when out in the backcountry. I'd like to try to find a good LR C tire that's less than 50lbs.

Just ordered mine from discount tire. This will be my 3rd set over the years. BFGs are way outdated and overpriced.

20130322_162716.jpg This was my first experience with the Falkens Wildpeaks. They was 325 80 16 and I ran them for 28,000 before I sold the truck and they still had half tread. Smooth on the highway and absolutely awsome trail riding tires.

A friend of mine rode those all over Moab, Arizona, Four corners. Never an issue with them. They will serve you well. Next set of tires, I am thinking of going with Yokohama Geolander AT's.
