Hello folks! I'm new to the forum but I am a Tacoma enthusiast on my 2nd Taco. I've recently upgraded from a 2013 TRD sport (reluctantly at first but who could pass up the offer of 23k from a dealer?!) ..to a 2019 TRD sport. Both manual transmission. Anyway, I'm looking to unlock the best performance out of my baby; I've been told conflicting reports about customizations regarding cold air intakes, performance tuners/"chips," exhaust systems, etc. While I do appreciate the stock performance of my vehicle, I do get the sense it is "restricted" for optimal ECT. Thoughts/comments?? Any help is appreciated!

You already have a CAI. Maybe delete the secondary charcoal filter though?

There is a lot of potential in the 3.5l that is muted by the stock tune.

Personally, I am not willing to do anything to my 2019 to void the warranty. 3 years will come soon enough, and besides my MT can overcome the wimpy engine tune by operating at higher rpm than an AT. Doing that burns more fuel, though.

OP this is where to start. there is a ton of potential even for naturally aspirated. SC and TTs are in development and dyno numbers for both are coming soon, maybe this week. i'm NA with OVT and a full custom exhaust and am super happy with the drivetrain now.. when i got the truck the factory tune was so bad i almost sold it. now i will never sell this thing, runs amazing, all from the tune & exhaust.

OVtune bro. Best way. If u want to get better power naturally aspirated, get an exhaust with the dump pipes from ovtune. All together, u got easy power
