    Hey all,

    I am currently looking to level out my 2016 Double Cab TRD OR. I was curious if I could get some advice from some people on here. I want to level it, but I want to avoid spacers. For the 5100's has anyone just put 5100's on the front and left the back stock? Would this hinder the ride quality? I was also wondering how much money it has costed those of you that have done it for all 4 professionally installed. I didn't see anything on here about the installed prices for the 5100's on the 3rd gen threads. Thank you

    Austin

    Just ordered a set of 17" Ray10's and am getting BFG KO2's 285/70/17's. I am probably ordering from headstrong, 4-5100's, Toytec coils assembled and Deaver leaf AAL's. My plan is to bring my 2wd OR TRD up a bit a level out for the tires.

    Question, I no zip what a UCA is for but here it a lot here. Would it be any benefit and worth the extra $ to buy UCA's and if so what ones for the money, I know headstrong sells the LR Luca's but again have no clue.

    Also what are they for and the benefits!

    I still have to find some one here to do the lift and mounting wheels and tires, 4wheelparts in SA told me they wont do it unless I buy the parts from them but I don't want too! Any one from San Antonio who knows a top notch installer, please let me know!

    Thanks from

    From my research its suggested if you have the extra coin ($200ish) to get the coils to go with the 5100. Others are running just the 5100 up front set at 1.75" or 2.25" (I believe that's the next setting up) and keeping the back stock to just level it out. As for install, shops around me charge $90-$100 an hour and would probably charge you 2-3 hours for just the front install. However if you have a set of jack stands and a good jack, it can be done at home. Good luck.

    UCA' are required to get it aligned properly if you go 3" or over. Not sure if there is much need/benefits to upgrading them if you don't go over this height. However, hopefully some of the more veteran guys will chime in. As for the install, Id do a google/google maps search in your area. If you have jack stands and a good jack it can be done at home.

    So set the front 5100's to level and keep the stock coils then good to go, do you think those rims and tires will work with that alone!

    I think you may have some rub issues with that size tire. However you maybe able to run a spacer to help with this thou. I've been researching tires a lot as I just got a new set recently and most of what I found was that 265 is about the widest you can run and pretty much not worry about rubbing. I do believe some guys are running a 275/70-(16/17) with out rubbing and others have rubbing. I believe its due to not all tires of the "same size" are created equal. There again, hopefully some of the more veteran guys will pop in and assist. Take a look at this calculator for tire size. You're getting quit larger then stock at the size you want to run. On a side note, great choice on rims. Those Ray' are made specifically for these trucks and will look and work great. If you want pop in my gallery and you can see how my tire (265/75-16) setup looks on stock suspension. I've had no issues with rub and have tried to get it to rub.

    Hate to be dumb, is the 1.75 equal to what they say .0 and the 2.25 ---.85

    Also are the best OME 885 the best for the 5100, again looking to put the 17" RAY10 with the BFG KO2 285/70/17, So a OME 885 assembled with the 5100, what setting to fit the tires and level my 2WD out and I'll probably stay with stock AAL's but would get all 4 5100's! won't do any heavy towing, maybe small boat or 1/4" steel, 24"x48" BBQ smoker on trailer!

    thanks

    The 885 will give you about 2.5" of lift with the 5100's set at 0.0. The coils give you the lift you are looking for up front. Take center of hub to fender measurements and see what you need to get level. My 2011 (as it sits today) is about 2" higher in the rear but I have lost a bit of spring in my rear leafs. Sounds like you know where you want to be, just figure out where you are. OME has several options for lifts. @HeadStrong Off-Road is a good resource too. Read through the thread below if you haven't already. Good info here and the reason I'm going 885/5100. Good Luck!

    Thanks,

    Marie at Headstrong has been amazing, she had me measure but I have to find a level parking lot because this is what I did in my driveway and my driveway is all jacked up! So from where the tip of center of black fender flare to middle of stock rim caps, correct

    Correct - At least that is what I did - I hope it's right!! :confused: Noticed your PR is 1" lower than DR. Might want to double check that one. For a new truck I would think they would be closer if not higher on that side.

    My measurements were:

    DF = 19.5"
    PF = 19.75"
    DR = 21.5"
    PR = 21.0"

    The passenger rear threw me off because I was expecting it to be higher than the driver's side. Now I'm wondering if an aal will work for me. Need to investigate the spring pack - hopefully one is not broken.

    OK,

    So I tried to find a level lot and this is what I am almost certain the measurements from tip of fender flares to center caps on stock rims,

    DF -- 20 1/2"
    PF -- 20 1/2"

    DR -- 22"
    PR -- 22"

    they maybe a micro difference but not noticeable for the lot I was on!

    So based on this you could get the 5100's and set them on the second notch and be pretty level out of the gate without big $'s. The ride will be a bit firmer because you are pre-loading the coils. If you don't like that then a set of new taller coils is in order but the 885's will probably be too tall. The 883X's are a 1.5" lift iirc. Lots of options out there - more than I know about for sure.

    So, is it possible to go with just 5100's and level out with the 17" ray10's and BFG KO2 285/70/17's

    without adding new coils and AAL's

    Has any one her just used 5100's to level out front with stock coils and leafs and adding the 17" and bigger tires.
