So I finally got crazy this past weekend and installed my Satoshi, did the BHLM, fabbed a light bar to go behind it, installed a bull bar and some T-Rex eyelids. After scratching my head for 30 minutes about where to put the horns I broke out the iPhone, got on the forum and found this thread. After seeing the pics (text was too small to read on the phone anyway lol) I thought "Damn. That was a great idea!". It was done in 10 minutes and looks great!

That's the thing about the forum here. I hate that I'm gonna be broke for life because of all the ideas I get on here, but I love the fact that if the info isn't here, post a question and wait 5 minutes. Somebody else has been there!!

I'll try to get some pics up this weekend. It was after dark when I finished it up and because of work I've only seen it in the daylight once since then! Got my new wheels and tires on today and haven't seen them in the light either!

And yep, there's definitely a relationship between time and money. My wife is threatening to cut off the Internet. Good thing I've got an iPhone LOL!!

 

Here they are. I finally got around to mounting the lights behind the grill. Hopefully I'll find time tomorrow to mount the 2 on the bull bar....

Would I just be able to make the wire for the horns longer? Am assuming a could cut the connecter and splice with a longer wire.

 

I rerouted the bundle to avoid cutting & splicing.
My harness included the temp sensor along with the horns.
I believe most have had the slack to reroute.
So to answer your question, You "could"
If you cut & splice, use shrink tube to waterproof it.

What are you doing to clear the tranny cooler? I just installed two hella 500's, the light on the driver side won't sit back far enough because of the cooler so right now it's being pushed up against the Satoshi mesh

My Hella 500's just fit and are touching the mesh with lenses on them.
I've searched for the Tranny Cooler solution, but only found 1 thread that the member just dropped the non-hose end.
I'd like to relocate it to behind the lower grill opening.
I intend to replace the 500's with Hella Rallye 1000 Driving Lights.
The relocation would require new hoses. Not sure how much fluid would escape.
The physical relocation of the cooler should be easy with some "fabbed" brackets
Unfortunately, the Mods section of my "To Do" list keeps moving closer to the bottom than the top
I'll be watchin' for your post with the solution

Has anyone been submerged in water over the front bumper and came out with dead horns? Basically, will lowering the horns to this position put your horns in unnecessary risk for damage? Just curious.

Haven't drowned the truck yet but this thread made doing the horn relocation mod easy. Props to the op for making it.

 

Not trying to hijack, but I relocated my horns in a different area (mainly to get more clearance for my hidden winch).

Trying to install my 20in LED bar with BAMF mount on my 2014.
Can you use the original bolt for the horn or do I have to get new ones from home depot?
I went today, but wasn't sure what size bolt/washer nut combos to get. All i know is that the factory bolt is #12. I want to get all the parts ready so I dont get stuck. Thanks!

 

Great write up. Did it while awaiting my new custom blacked out OEM grill from a dealership (PreRunner style - no chrome). Followed your instructions verbatim and it just fit with no further wiggle room on the wires. Don't think I'll do the Satoshi mod, but will be putting some black mesh in there to protect the radiator coils etc. (already bent from powerwashing the truck, or hella huge bugs on the road that I've been hitting)

 

I spent a whole $20 at Lowes today getting some materials for my grill mod. I can't afford the amazing Satoshi grill that HomerTaco fabricates, so I ended up getting some gutter guards (3), zip ties, high heat black enamel spray paint for BBQ's all for $20. Got a color matched grill surround and went to work with my Dremel. I only cut the metal meshing - didn't touch the grill as I didn't want to mess it up. I'll take pics tomorrow, but it turned out great.
