I have an SR model and was looking for a camera to mount with the CS kit. I am planning to get the Nakita camera with the through bore installation. I have the TSS and don't want to have any issues with it. I was wondering if anyone has mounted their camera in this configuration. My plan is to make a small bracket that would hold the camera in place from the rear and use the included shims to adjust the view angle. Mounted position is circled in yellow.

I have that camera mounted in the same orientation, and it has not affected the TSS.

Awesome! A couple of questions if I may. Why not directly in the center? Also, could you post a pic of your front view from the head unit so I can have an idea of how it would look? Much appreciated.

There wasn't enough room for it directly in the center.
Here's a link that may help with your other questions.

Thank you sir, I think I will make a bracket that will mount in the lower gap to hold the camera in the center, I am assuming due to the camera orientation of your post you did not have to cut any loops?

I had to cut 2 of them. The purple one, and the white one.

I will post pics, just waiting for another payday to order the camera, my plan is to mount in the gap slot below the emblem with some thin aluminum sheets. One to mount the camera on and the back plate to hold the threaded end and sandwich it in.

That sounds good, but I don't think the threaded stalk of the camera is going to be long enough. :(

Good luck with it !

Edit: You may want to consider a license plate mounted camera. If you do, make sure that it can be set up as a front facing camera. The Nakita camera could probably be used with your OE license plate mount. (Just thinking out loud)

I was thinking of the Nakita license plate type camera but want to keep the wiring inside the engine bay, also, if you noticed, my grille was replaced caused some idiot thief tried to take the Toyota emblem off and cracked my original grille. That's why my current grille has the chrome bezel and looks like an SR5 grille. My plan is to make a bracket that uses the TSS sensor mount and drop it down to the gap in the lower open spot on the grille below the emblem. Earlier before I left for work I ordered the Nakita camera that was posted by me.

So what’s the easiest way to snake the camera wire through the firewall? Natika camera if it matters.

I just used a flathead to make the hole and then taped the cable to an old wire coat hanger.

I received my Natika camera today and decided to mount it. I removed my SR grille and found a spot where there was a retaining screw on the bottom mount. I drilled it out and I used the camera threads to tap that part of the grill and mounted the camera, hopefully I won't wind up with a bad camera. Pics below. I wanted the camera centered and I think I achieved that, the CS kit is taking forever to get here but I think the mounting I did will hopefully be where I need it as I want to get a view of the license plate and near bottom view when parking. I did not use the retaining nut threaded in the original plastic mount but it's on there very snug and if I need to I will make adjustments as needed. Thanks to Tullie D for the info on mounting the camera in a perpendicular fashion.

Remains to be seen Tullie D, just waiting on the CS kit and your post on mounting along with your insights on the wire loop connections. Credit to you sir.

I received my car solutions kit today. It took 7 days from initial order to receiving the package. They wait until the payment has cleared before shipping it, "The items you ordered will be sent to you as soon as we actually receive your payment." The confusing part is they send an email that says, "To pay: USD 136.89", but this is misleading because you've already paid when you placed the order...

    Anyway, here it is:

Update: I'm pairing it with this camera.

Hi Ryan, I looked up the description and it says the camera is a rear type? Can it be used for a front camera?

I would confirm with the seller, just in case.
