    @tpp4

    I don't know if THIS would work in your truck?
    I have no affiliation with seller.

    So, my HU born date matches my truck, so I would assume that it is factory stock. It does NOT have an apps button, so maybe therein lies the difference? What packages do you have on your truck? Also, do you only have wiring for the two speaker plugins (upper left), two video plugins (top right and 3rd right), left bottom grey connector, and bottom-most white connector? I think those are the only things I have hookups for

    @DES2009 The SR HU you posted appears to be the same as mine. That JBL HU is too big for my dash without switching the trim as well. It may be easier to just go with the anytimebackup camera version instead and install an extra switch. Idk if I will have the same issues.

    Shortly after I posted the link to that JBL, I found someone on TW selling a unit from a 2014 that looked EXACTLY like the unit in Tmaloy's truck. It was $100 plus shipping, but had already sold in only a couple of hours.
    The CS interface is shown as compatible with Tacoma's having Entune 2.0 Audio, Entune 2.0 Audio Plus, and Entune 2.0 Premium Audio. Maybe the radio in your truck is not Entune?

    The paperwork for the truck says it is, and the VIN lookup did as well. Idk what the deal is. I contacted car solutions technical support

    Since I have a complete wiring harness for my tacoma...thanks to the dealership that burned mine up, I'm going to create another t-harness. I will depin the power wires from the small connector on the CS harness and insert them into the connector from the burned up harness. I could cut open my t-harness for my kicker key amp and wire the CS harness in directly, but I'd like this to be reversible in case it doesn't work. Hypothetically, using ~$10 in metra connectors, anyone could make this work. I'll keep you all posted with my progress and probably make a complete how-to thread if it works.

    So the additional 8 pin is just for 12V power then. Glad that CS gave you the info and will have it sorted out soon. I guess I was right in assuming those wires in the harness were a positive and negative. Hopefully CS will update their instructions in the future so this can be adapted for other SR models.

    I'm guessing that the 8-pin is used to supply power to the GPS/XM antenna, and they just piggyback off of it. I'm not sure why they wouldn't tap into the speaker power pins instead, considering every trim level has that

    Noted and hope you get it sorted out I'm sure you'll enjoy having the front camera available to you. I find it helps having it on the truck alot.

    I did a full write-up/guide because I discovered a few ways to solve the problem. This is a serious WIP because I do not have the connector identified yet. However, you can simply cut into your CS harness and follow the install regardless. Solution

    Great product and the best solution for front and/or rear camera add. Love the steering wheel controls. So happy with this. My unusual camera location will be questioned but I wanted the camera for wheeling and the low view that is back farther than can be achieved with a grill mount. It may get hit but it is actual protected somewhat by the location. If I smear it off, its 40 bucks and 5 minutes to replace.

    Not sure how you would do that as this uses the steering wheel controls by monitoring the mode button and then the up down to switch cameras. It actually works so nice not sure why you would want it on the shifter. This is a great setup and works perfectly.

    I know it’s a great set up and have been utilizing it for about a year now! It’s awesome. I was just hoping to provide an alternate option as there are times when cracking the steering wheel and it can be tricky to hit the mode button when a hand on the shifter with a click is simple. Just was looking for feedback if anyone was successful at doing this.

    Yes looking for the same help- I have the BD4-CAM and would like to set it up to my MESO shifter but I'm hesitant-. Having a on the shifter will make it easier to check in on things in the bed, such as dogs and supplies in the bed.
