If done correctly it's a cheap mod. I did add a disclaimer.

The Retrofit Source has a great LED replacement for the stock fogs. I run my fogs now during the day, with the any time fog mod installed. Thanks to @Dtoy, for helping me with the mod.

If you look at my photo of the led bulbs, the top is clear plastic (the diode is inside). The base is white plastic. If you look in between you'll see a thin fiberglass disk that the led is mounted on. That disk is just slightly larger than the base in a couple little areas (it differs from bulb to bulb-- ie. buy five bulbs, two will probably fit perfect and three might require filing in a couple spots). I think the disk just isn't cut "perfect".

So on each bulb there might be a couple little spots where just a hair needs to be filed down ever so slightly to match the profile of the base. Basically, that fiberglass disk might get hung up on the hole in the switch in a spot or two. Those holes have very fine tolerance for accepting the bulb. And cutting that small of a piece of fiberglass into a perfect circle is apparently not a piece of cake.

I used a file to knock off the uneven edges. You could probably fix them with a dremel in two seconds. Or you might get lucky and your bulb will fit perfectly. One of mine did. A couple others did not.

'Murican Taco.jpg Wife bought me these the other day. Friggin so happy with the way they came out. And so the addiction has begun. Already looking to add step rails, LED interior lighting, all weather matts, and so much more.

I've always been a Toyota guy but I'm new to this forum. I have a 98 tacoma now and not much is really done to it besides a tube bumper, 3 inch lift with adjustable shocks, and mud grips under it. I was wanting to make it more trail ready but on a budget. Do y'all have any cheaper suggestions for me to make it a better set up? I was going to relocate and extend the breather tubes for the axle like I had ready on earlier post and eventually want to add a transmission and transfer case skid plates.

I know, that's why I'm here asking. Lol. I want to get some rock sliders and skid plates eventually, but it's a budget build. Probably gonna end up fabricating and welding some stuff up.

    Where are you located?
Check the market place here and keep an eye out on your local threads along with Craigs list, offer up and so on. You'll find something.

That's your locals BS thread in your region. They may have a for sale/yard sale thread in there too
