Ok. So I purchased the Led switch from TW . Do I now have to buy a different control knob for the truck in order to use this? I am confused. The only thing this thing has on it is some small leds , a red wire, and a white wire. Could someone elaborate on this for me?

You should have gotten installation instructions with the kit, from the website, or posted in the TW thread selling them.

In short, no you don't need a new knob. Read the directions.

Hey i literally just did this to my truck. It took longer to take off the panels and get the computer off than it did to ground the wire! I never would have imagined that there was something so easy and cheap that would make that much of a difference!!:D

I did the fogs on anytime mod by caribe and the illum mod above but my switch stays the off color. It doesn't turn its color when fogs are on.

The illum mod is done corectly and works when tested with a 9v battery. Just not on the truck.

    Any ideas in what's wrong?

The illum mod says you have to do the fog light always on mod (the one where you splice a wire in the fuse box, not Caribe's one) so my guess is it has something to do with that. I'm not sure if Caribe tapped into the same wires on the bottom of the panel or not.

Thanks guys I will try to post some pics of the switch but I can't really get you a pic of the fogs anytime mod tho. I chose caribes mod cause it was the cleanest. I didn't like the look of jumper wires across the fuse box. I guess I will have to give the other modse a try. Has anyone heard of a different way to get the switch illuminated?

May not be easy, looks a bit different, but is factory, is this switch. I'm not sure what the wiring layout is, but you will need to to run another wire. I'm not sure if it's just a ground or a fused +12v. Either way, you could steal either one from an unused connector behind the dash. And if you purchase just the plastic connector for the switch, it should be swap and plug into the new switch. The metal pins that go into the connector are the same. Just the plastic housing is a 6 pin compared to our 4 pin style.

I know I made it sound easy, but really would look great in our dash.

The rest is up to you. I don't have a specific interest to have an additional light here, as my Fogs are always on with headlamps (mod). But I can provide assistance with any questions.

Ok ill look into that! I have a guy at work who is working with my oem switch, adding a transistor and what not to power a different color led when fogs are on. I don't know the details yet but if it works ill let you all know the details.
