That link was from my order on November 2015. It works great with my old Note3. I have a Pixel now, but just use the Note3 when needed.

At the bottom of the listing, there are new versions with greater resolution and WiFi options.

    Here's a USB-C version:

Just wondering out loud, but any ideas on whether this may have been limited to one batch of parts or is it a larger issue?

FWIW, it looks like Toyota calls it the "rear water by-pass joint".

Realistically - and I'm still investigating and will get it fixed if a problem on my truck - but from a severity standpoint, aside from the smell and having to top off the coolant, this doesn't appear to be a critical issue where other components are being severely contaminated by this? Thoughts?

...shouldn't be happening regardless, but want to tame hysteria that can take hold sometimes by our TW nuthouse :)

It's a sealed system. Any loss is unacceptable in my book, especially on a high tech $35k ride.

And not everyone opens their hood on a regular basis to check things out. Some never open their hoods. Meaning the potential for an overheat situation exists, one that shouldn't.

Should owners be monitoring things? You betcha.

Doesn't mean that a questionable design needs to be implemented with a second tier part though.

It's probably just a few isolated instances as per modern manufacturing defects. I wouldn't loose any sleep over it as if there is a problem, there will be a fix.
RELAX! It's a Yota and they so far do stand behind their chit!

They're going the plastic route to save weight and get better mpg and there's no turning back at this point, just hope they get better.

If you smell coolant, I'd say you may in all probability have a problem. Best get it documented during the warranty period.

    Cheers!

VW/Audi/BMW/Porsche/Merc have been using plastic coolant flanges since the mid-1980s.

I went close to 200k on my old 88 Golf before I had a leak from the plastic coolant flange on the side of the head, i would assume todays plastics are even better so it should be a non issue.

Does this coolant also smell like roasting bacon when it becomes air born?

Tell you what this little motor has never not done anything I've asked of it. Hauled tons of huge loads of firewood in the bed, numerous trips with 1,500-2,000lbs of scrap in the bed to the junk yard, a and full of 5x10 trailer loads of firewood probably weighing in at around 3k each with the trailer. So no complaints here!
